Creating a positive impact by sharing ideas worth spreading
He was granted the right to organize TEDxAmsterdam by the TED organization.

TEDxAmsterdam is organized by a nonprofit foundation (stichting) driven by volunteers and financially supported by sponsors from the corporate world. The main goal of the foundation is to organize several annual TEDxAmsterdam events and create a movement around ‘ideas worth doing’. TEDxAmsterdam is an initiative of Jim Stolze, Dutch author and internet thinker, who was a speaker at TED 2009. This

year TEDxAmsterdam will take place on Friday, the 17th of November in the Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam. Find out more information on our website: tedx.amsterdam

Our event is called TEDxAmsterdam, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAmsterdam event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will be combined to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

When our core mission is to share ideas worth spreading, how do we rein them in and anchor them?

Each year, our annual big “Red Dot” stage is centered on a topic that pertains to the community and the world around us, providing a compass for the questions we spend all year exploring.

The topic is chosen by our team on the basis on advancing conversations, amplifying voices, and creating spaces where curiosity is taken seriously.

The goal is never just to inspire for a moment, but to spark conversations that continue long after the stage.

One of the ways practices what we preach is through our flagship Impact Program.
