2027; Ekiyor Declares for HOR in Grand Rally at Bomadi Town
14/05/26
Bomadi Town erupted in color, music, and renewed hope as Dr. Chris Ekiyor formally declared his intention to contest for the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
The rally drew stakeholders, youth groups, women, and party faithfuls from both Bomadi and Patani LGAs. Cultural dances, solidarity chants, and drumbeats turned the venue into a carnival-like celebration and a visible reawakening of hope for the constituency’s future.
Addressing the crowd, Dr. Ekiyor struck a tone of conviction and collaboration.
“I want to make those things that seem impossible possible,” he said. “But I cannot do it alone without your support. The time is now. Each one tell one, each one convince one.”
He called on party members to demand for their party cards ahead of the primary election, stressing that active participation is key to credible representation.
Dr. Ekiyor laid out a clear mission for his mandate: to give Bomadi/Patani a voice that is vocal, effective, and accountable in Abuja.
He rolled out his vision for Development-Driven Representation that will attract federal projects in healthcare, education, roads, and infrastructure to bridge the development gap in communities, as well as expanding opportunities through skills programs, scholarships, and support for small businesses for youths.
“This seat is not about titles. It’s about service,” he told the crowd. “I’ve done it before in healthcare advocacy and public service. I know the system, and I know how to make it work for our people.”
Speakers and stakeholders at the event commended Dr. Ekiyor for his contributions to healthcare advocacy in the constituency. They expressed confidence in his capacity to attract meaningful projects and development to Bomadi/Patani if elected.
Dr. Ekiyor also recounted his days in the Ijaw Youth Council and his role in the Amnesty Programme, positioning that experience as proof of his understanding of the challenges facing communities and his ability to deliver practical solutions.
Beyond the speeches, the event felt like the start of a movement. The cross-LGA turnout, the energy of the crowd, and the visible support from community leaders signaled broad acceptance of his candidacy.
For many in attendance, the declaration was more than a political announcement — it was a signal that Bomadi/Patani is ready for a representative with proven track record, grassroots connection, and the will to push for real change.
