Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man] - blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he. (AMP)
INTRODUCTION
• What is Vision? Biblically According to the (AMP) in prov 29 :18 Vision is the redemptive revelation of God .
• What is Vision? According to Merriam-Webster, vision is defined as, “the act of power of imagination.
That is why when you apply vision to the future via the power imagination, you can create a mental picture that can be used to direct your actions. Because Vision serves as a guide and can be used to provide a sense of purpose.
WHY IS VISION IMPORTANT?
The Bible said without vision called revelation people are bound to perish. The easy to perish is lack of vision. Because Vision is the road map that guides you on the right path of fulfilled destination. When you lack it, you will loose track.
(1) It makes you Overcome roadblocks and hurdles in life:
Because Challenges are inevitable. When you run into a wall or a hurdle, you need to know which way to go. Vision provides you with something to look forward to and always work towards It. It provides you with a reason to keep going, even when the times get tough.
(2) It Substantiate your goals:
Having a vision places a purpose upon your goal-setting activities. Without an end goal or destination in mind, then you won’t have a clear or defined path. Vision provides this.
(3) It is What birth expectations :
vision helps you to set expectations accordingly.
Your expectations is what birth manifestation.
(4) It helps you to focus:
Having a vision ensures that your life or business goals can remain focused.
(5) It gives you sense of purpose :
Because A vision is a way to answer your own “why” of life. It gives you the reason for your actions, choices, hopes, and desires. This fills your daily activities with meaning and purpose.
• What is the power of vision?
It's ability to seeing beyond the present, and focusing on a meaningful goal, and taking deliberate steps (often inspired by faith or personal conviction) to make that future a reality, even when obstacles arise.
THE NECESSITY OF THE POWER OF VISION
(1) Direction:
When you lack vision, you will loose direction. Because Vision acts as a roadmap, preventing aimless wandering and giving meaning to daily activities, as seen in the proverb, "Where there is no vision, the people perish" (Proverbs 29:18).
(2) It drives Motivation & Passion:
A clear vision evokes strong emotions and passion, providing the energy to pursue goals and overcome discouragement, making one less susceptible to distractions.
Hab.2.2 - And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
(3) It Promote Self-dscipline:
Self-discipline, is what put one in constant check of self evaluation.
(4) Resilience & Faith:
Vision sustains perseverance through trials (like Joseph in the pit) and allows belief in what isn't yet seen, often through faith or divine guidance.
Heb.12.2 - Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(5) It Unlock one's Potential:
By revealing a greater future, vision unlocks buried potential and empowers individuals to strive for more than their current circumstances.
HOW TO HARNESS THE POWER OF VISION
(1) Seek Clarity:
Find a quiet place to discern your purpose, whether through reflection, divine guidance, or inspired words.
(2) Write it Down:
Make your vision plain on tablets so you can run with it, as described in Habakkuk 2:2-3.
(3) Stay Rooted:
Ground yourself in truth (like God's Word) for clarity. Psalm 119:105.
(4) Take Action: Vision without action remains a dream; set small goals as stepping stones.
