*MONDAY 22ND JUNE, 2026*

*TEXTS: JONAH 1:1-2, 5-17; 2:10*

_*JONAH 1:1-2, 5-17*_

1. _The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai:_
2. _“Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.”_

5. _All the sailors were afraid and each cried out to his own god. And they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the ship. But Jonah had gone below deck, where he lay down and fell into a deep sleep._
6. _The captain went to him and said, “How can you sleep? Get up and call on your god! Maybe he will take notice of us so that we will not perish.”_
7. _Then the sailors said to each other, “Come, let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity.” They cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah._
8. _So they asked him, “Tell us, who is responsible for making all this trouble for us? What kind of work do you do? Where do you come from? What is your country? From what people are you?”_
9. _He answered, “I am a Hebrew and I worship the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”_
10. _This terrified them and they asked, “What have you done?” (They knew he was running away from the Lord, because he had already told them so.)_
11. _The sea was getting rougher and rougher. So they asked him, “What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?”_
12. _“Pick me up and throw me into the sea,” he replied, “and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you.”_
13. _Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea grew even wilder than before._
14. _Then they cried out to the Lord, “Please, Lord, do not let us die for taking this man’s life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man, for you, Lord, have done as you pleased.”_
15. _Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm._
16. _At this the men greatly feared the Lord, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows to him._
17. _Now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights._

10. _And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land._

*TOPIC: JONAH*

Nineveh was living in sin and did not deserve God's love and goodness, yet He loved them anyway and sent Jonah to warn them to repent. Jonah decided to go his way, bringing calamity to the ship he boarded. The sailors tried against all odds to save Jonah, but they eventually threw him overboard. God in His providence prepared a great fish to preserve Jonah for three days and three nights, after which he was vomited up on the shore of Nineveh. All these were acts of Grace. It was because of God's compassion that Jonah was not consumed in his disobedience. Are you facing a storm in your life now? God answered Jonah while in the belly of a fish, in the depths of the sea. So, God can answer you in your present predicaments. No circumstance is beyond God's deliverance.

*REFLECTION:* _Call on Jesus in times of trouble._

*PRAYER:* _Father, deliver me from all my predicaments, in Jesus' name. Amen._

*SUNDAY 21ST JUNE, 2026*

*TEXT: GENESIS 26:12-25*

12. _Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him._
13. _The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy._
14. _He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him._
15. _So all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth._
16. _Then Abimelek said to Isaac, “Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us.”_
17. _So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar, where he settled._
18. _Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them._
19. _Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there._
20. _But the herders of Gerar quarreled with those of Isaac and said, “The water is ours!” So he named the well Esek, because they disputed with him._
21. _Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over that one also; so he named it Sitnah._
22. _He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, “Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land.”_
23. _From there he went up to Beersheba._
24. _That night the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.”_
25. _Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord. There he pitched his tent, and there his servants dug a well._

*TOPIC: ISAAC*

Isaac enjoyed God's Grace to the extent that he reaped a hundred fold even when the land experienced famine. Whatever touched prospered, and he became very wealthy. This made the Philistines jealous, and they blocked his wells and wanted to get rid of him. Isaac did not wage war with them, but instead reopened the wells dug by his father, which the Philistines had blocked after Abraham's death. Three times he dug new wells and God blessed his efforts. God's gracious hand was on Isaac. Are you facing intense hatred and jealousy from those around you? Do not give in to their entrapment, but maintain a godly posture, trusting in God's faithfulness to keep His promises. He will make you grow from Grace to Grace to their amazement.

*REFLECTION:* _God keeps His promises._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, bless the works of my hand. Amen._

*SATURDAY 20TH JUNE, 2026*

*TEXT: RUTH 2:8-17*

8. _So Boaz said to Ruth, “My daughter, listen to me. Don’t go and glean in another field and don’t go away from here. Stay here with the women who work for me._
9. _Watch the field where the men are harvesting, and follow along after the women. I have told the men not to lay a hand on you. And whenever you are thirsty, go and get a drink from the water jars the men have filled.”_
10. _At this, she bowed down with her face to the ground. She asked him, “Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me—a foreigner?”_
11. _Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before._
12. _May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”_
13. _“May I continue to find favor in your eyes, my lord,” she said. “You have put me at ease by speaking kindly to your servant—though I do not have the standing of one of your servants.”_
14. _At mealtime Boaz said to her, “Come over here. Have some bread and dip it in the wine vinegar.” When she sat down with the harvesters, he offered her some roasted grain. She ate all she wanted and had some left over._
15. _As she got up to glean, Boaz gave orders to his men, “Let her gather among the sheaves and don’t reprimand her._
16. _Even pull out some stalks for her from the bundles and leave them for her to pick up, and don’t rebuke her.”_
17. _So Ruth gleaned in the field until evening. Then she threshed the barley she had gathered, and it amounted to about an ephah._

*TOPIC: RUTH*

The story of Ruth, the Moabite, is a classic example of God's amazing grace. Ruth, a respectful, obedient, and hardworking young widow, went gleaning in Boaz's field. Boaz was a relative of Naomi's husband. As she gleaned, she found exceptional favour in his sight. He persuaded her to remain on his farm. Boaz accepted, protected, and even provided water and bread to Ruth, who eventually became his wife (4:13). This story shows how God's providence and grace lead and direct one's steps beyond cultural and ethnic boundaries. Are you often looked down upon because of your extraction? Do not despair. Men may mistreat you, but God's redeeming Grace is there to exalt and give you a voice and standing. Trust Him!

*REFLECTION:* _God's Grace is open to all._

*PRAYER:* _Thank you, Father, for accepting me in Jesus' name. Amen._

*FRIDAY 19TH JUNE, 2026*

*TEXT: 2 KINGS 5:10-14*

10. _Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”_
11. _But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy._
12. _Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage._
13. _Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!”_
14. _So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy._

*TOPIC: NAAMAN*

Naaman was a mighty and courageous soldier, but he was a l***r. What a devastating and humiliating condition for a high-ranking man! Through the counsel of a maid, he sought help from Elisha to be healed. But his pride and myopic view of God almost deprived him of enjoying God's Grace. God's Grace manifested when he overcame his pride and acted in faith. Similarly, we are all 'leprous' in our sins. Man sometimes thinks that God's offer of salvation in Jesus is too simple. So, he devises a way to reach God. This is futile! To be cleansed of our 'leprosy,' of pride, immorality, greed, addiction, and be restored to wholeness, we must respond positively to the Grace of God in Christ. Have you received God's way of forgiveness? If not, do so today.

*REFLECTION:* _Yielding to God's ways and instructions is profitable._

*PRAYER:* _I yield to your ways, Lord. Amen._

*THURSDAY 18TH JUNE, 2026*

*TEXT: MARK 10:46-52*

46. _Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging._
47. _When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”_
48. _Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”_
49. _Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.”_
50. _Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus._
51. _“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”_
52. _“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road._

*TOPIC: BARTIMAEUS*

Physical impairment or disability can limit a person, but it cannot impede the Grace of God from reaching them. In this text, the blind Bartimaeus sat at the roadside, begging. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he shouted for mercy. When rebuked, he cried the more. Then Jesus stopped for the 'insignificant' beggar and asked what he could do for him. Bartimaeus asked for his sight, and he got it. Jesus lifted Bartimaeus' veil of blindness, and he followed Him. Many people are spiritually blinded by sin and are stuck in life. The Grace that restored and transformed Bartimaeus is available. Ask Jesus to remove what is hindering you from seeing and following Him. He is willing and able. Do not delay.

*REFLECTION:* _Spiritual blindness is a limitation._

*PRAYER:* _Lord Jesus, heal my spiritual blindness. Amen._

*WEDNESDAY 17TH JUNE, 2026*

*TEXT: EXODUS 3:1-10*

1. _Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God._
2. _There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up._
3. _So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”_
4. _When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”_
5. _“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”_
6. _Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God._
7. _The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering._
8. _So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites._
9. _And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them._
10. _So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”_

*TOPIC: MOSES*

God spoke with Moses face to face and was called the friend of God (Ex. 33:11). This was as a result of God's mercy and Grace. Though destined for greatness and leadership, he went ahead of God. In his quest to deliver his people, he committed murder and fled to another land. God did not allow Moses' sin to deter his plans for His people. He graciously appeared to him in the burning bush and mandated him to deliver Israel from the captivity of Pharaoh. Moses maintained a close walk with God. The Grace of God through the Gospel is also calling you to be a friend of Christ (Jn. 15:16). Will you heed that call today? You need to build an intimate relationship with God through prayer, Bible study, and fellowshipping with other believers. Note that God's Grace can reach you wherever you are.

*REFLECTION:* _Maintain a close walk with God._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, help me to walk intimately with you always. Amen._

*TUESDAY 16TH JUNE, 2026*

*TEXT: 1 KINGS 17:2-9*

2. _Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah:_
3. _“Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan._
4. _You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”_
5. _So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there._
6. _The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook._
7. _Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land._
8. _Then the word of the Lord came to him:_
9. _“Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.”_

*TOPIC: ELIJAH*

Baal is believed to be the "god" of rain and bountiful harvests by its adherents. Elijah challenged their belief through the power of God by pronouncing that there would be no rain for three and a half years. God directed Elijah to a brook where He used a raven to provide his meals. When the brook ran dry, God directed Elijah to yet another strange source of supply - a widow at Zarephath. God provided for Elijah from the most unlikely sources: an unclean bird and a foreign widow. What an uncommon grace! Indeed, God directs the steps of the righteous. Are you going through a precarious situation and feeling helpless and hopeless? Look up to the God of providence. He will supply your needs.

*REFLECTION:* _God's providence can come from unlikely sources._

*PRAYER:* _Dear Father, I need your caring touch today, in Jesus' name. Amen._

*TEXT: PSALM 51:1-2, 7-14*

1. _Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions._
2. _Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin._

7. _Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow._
8. _Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice._
9. _Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity._
10. _Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me._
11. _Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me._
12. _Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me._
13. _Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you._
14. _Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness._

*TOPIC: DAVID*

David is one man whom God has shown tremendous grace. He made some terrible choices with serious consequences not only in his life but also on the nation. He committed adultery with Uriah's wife and went ahead to murder Uriah in an attempt to conceal his heinous sin. This Psalm was his cry for God to show him mercy, and God forgave him. This is Grace! David's sin was terrible, but God's Grace was overwhelming. In the same way, we all have sinned against God in varying and grievous degrees. No sin is too great to be forgiven. Do not stay away from God's saving and merciful arm because of a 'great' sin that you might have committed. Seek his forgiveness today and be freed from the burden of guilt and shame.

*REFLECTION:* _No sin is beyond God's Grace._

*PRAYER:* _Lord, forgive me of all my secret and open sins. Amen._

*SUNDAY 14TH JUNE, 2026*

*TEXT: LUKE 8:1-2*

1. _After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him,_
2. _and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out;_

*TOPIC: MARY MAGDALENE*

The culture within which Jesus lived treated women as second-class citizens. However, Jesus had a different attitude towards them. He treated women with dignity as people of worth. Mary Magdalene was one of those to whom Jesus ministered and was freed from demonic bo***ge. She followed Jesus as He moved from place to place and supported His ministry as a sign of gratitude. Gratitude and servitude are borne out of a heart that has experienced such liberating Grace. Believers who have experienced the loving, tender arms of Jesus owe it a duty to use their resources to advance His kingdom. Are you in bo***ge of any sort? Cry out to Jesus, He can set you free.

*REFLECTION:* _You are valuable in God's sight._

*SATURDAY 13TH JUNE, 2026*

*TEXT: LUKE 1:24-25*

24. _After this his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and for five months remained in seclusion._
25. _“The Lord has done this for me,” she said. “In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people.”_

*TOPIC: ELIZABETH*

Elizabeth’s experience of God's Grace is exhilarating. Truly, the barren can sing and burst into a song. In her old age, God fulfilled His promise and Elizabeth became pregnant. God visited Elizabeth in her painful and lonely condition, especially in a society where barren women are looked down upon as people of lesser value. She praised God for removing the stigma of barrenness from her. In our society, things are not different. Women who do not have children of their own are stigmatised, treated with disdain and suspicion. Unproductivity can be distressing for the affected. But one thing is sure: God is in charge of every situation and will visit you in His time. Have faith in God, He will wipe away your tears!

*REFLECTION:* _Stay focused, despite the challenges you face._

*PRAYER:* _Dear Father, cause me to be fruitful in every area of my life. Amen._
