Good morning, sons and daughters of the Akaka land.
Good morning, custodians of culture.
Good morning, Odo Ọna! 🌿🪘

Seasons may come and go, but our heritage never fades.
After a while apart, we stand together again on this sacred ground — not as strangers, but as one people, bound by blood, history, and pride.

Today marks the beginning of a brand new season of the Odo Ọna Festival.
This is more than a gathering. It is a homecoming.
A time to remember where we came from, to honor those who walked before us, and to pass the flame to those coming after us.

Listen closely — the drums are sounding again.
See clearly — the colors of our culture are rising once more.
Feel deeply — our spirits are drawing closer with every step we take toward this celebration.

The river is flowing, the path is open, and our ancestors are smiling down on us.

So let us dance, let us sing, let us celebrate who we are.
