Dear Voices of the Philharmonics family,

We are happy to share an important update with you. The Philharmonics Company has officially transitioned into a registered nonprofit organization now known as:

Philharmonics Foundation for Music and Arts

This change marks a new chapter for all of us. The transition allows our work—especially the choir, concerts, outreach, and artist development—to operate fully as a public-benefit, charitable initiative, with clearer structure and long-term vision.

We sincerely appreciate your patience during the transition period, which is why there have been delays in concert planning and full rehearsals. Now that registration is complete, planning will resume, and you will be hearing from us very soon with updates on rehearsals, performances, and upcoming projects.

Thank you for your commitment, resilience, and belief in the mission. We are excited to move forward together under this new foundation.

We are pleased to officially announce that The Philharmonics Company has successfully transitioned into a registered nonprofit organization now known as:

🎼 Philharmonics Foundation for Music and Arts

This transition reflects our renewed and strengthened commitment to public service, cultural development, and charitable advancement of music and the arts in Nigeria and beyond. As a foundation, our mission is to provide free access to music education, performances, mentorship, and artistic opportunities, particularly for young and emerging artists, without commercial or private gain.

All existing programs—including concerts, recitals, awards, and educational initiatives—will now operate under the Philharmonics Foundation for Music and Arts, with expanded scope, stronger governance, and a clear charitable mandate.

We thank our supporters, artists, partners, and audiences for their continued trust and encouragement as we begin this new chapter.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Segun Soyemi, a cherished member of the KII Memorial Awards family.

Mr. Soyemi was a winner of the 3rd edition of the KII Memorial Awards and later served with distinction as a judge, generously offering his time, wisdom, and artistry in service of young singers. His dedication to excellence, mentorship, and the advancement of music in Nigeria left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, students, and the wider artistic community during this time of loss. His legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
