CLARIFYING THE STANCE OF JIBWIS ABAJI ON THE AAC CHAIRMAN AWARD
The attention of the JIBWIS Abaji Area Council has been drawn to a pictorial circulation showing some members of the JIBWIS Executive presenting an award to the Abaji Area Council Chairman.
This statement serves as the official position of the JIBWIS Abaji Executive Council, as resolved during the Monthly Executive Meeting held on 4th Rajab, 1447 A.H, corresponding to 25th December, 2025, at the JIBWIS Central Mosque, Lokoja–Abaji Highway.
The Executive Council clarifies as follows:
a) The award was intended to be presented to the Chairman long before now, but access to him was not possible at the time.
b) The award does not, in any way, constitute an endorsement by JIBWIS of the Chairman’s political candidature. Furthermore, the same Executive Council had earlier held a meeting with the YPP Chairmanship candidate some days prior to this event.
c) The doors of JIBWIS remain open to all political parties and candidates, without discrimination, to seek appointments for constructive dialogue, present their policies and programs for the people, and especially outline their plans concerning Islam and the Muslim community.
Finally, JIBWIS Abaji reiterates its commitment to neutrality and non-partisanship, particularly with regard to the current political developments in Abaji. The organization shall continue to stand for the voiceless and promote the general welfare of all.
