This is the official page for the annual Rum Run to Macaneta Mozambique. All 4X4's welcomed, but will however drive separate from the convoy.

the open road, the Rum Run beckons riders of all skill levels to embark on an unforgettable journey through diverse landscapes, from the bustling urban sprawl of Gauteng to the serene beauty of Mozambique's coastal paradise. The true highlight of the journey awaits at journey's end – the enchanting shores of Macaneta Beach. Nestled along the pristine coastline of Mozambique, Lugar Do Mar serves as the idyllic backdrop for the rally's grand finale. Here, riders are greeted by the rhythmic crash of waves, the soft caress of sea breeze, and the promise of relaxation after the exhilarating ride and then of course... the rum. Yet, the adventure doesn't end with the destination – Macaneta Beach offers a wealth of activities to satisfy everyone's appetite. From pub crawling to tranquil beachside strolls, there's something for everyone to enjoy as they bask in the beauty of this coastal haven. Good morning Rum Run friends. I am Setting my sights on returning to SA since November. Moz returned to normality with sporadic riots and I believe by the time of the Rum Rum we will have returned to the old moz. Get ready for a great adventure.
