WAK SIBU FESTIVAL 2026: Day 2 Highlights

What an incredible Day 2! The festival grounds were buzzing with energy, laughter, and amazing support from all of you who came by to join the celebration.

Here’s a quick look back at yesterday’s action-packed lineup:

🏓 The excitement kicked off with our Pickleball Tournament at iPSS.

🥁 The beats came alive with the Festival Gendang at the main stage, Sibu Heritage Centre.

📚 The little ones were captivated during our Children’s Storytelling Session in the evening.

🌅 As the sun set, Voz Pastel created the perfect atmosphere with their soulful tunes at Pasar Malam Sibu.

🎶 The night continued with the smooth, laid-back sounds of John Dills, before ending on a high note with the electrifying performance by Kotaras!

From start to finish, Day 2 was packed with unforgettable moments, and it wouldn’t have been the same without all of you. Thank you for bringing the energy and making the festival atmosphere absolutely amazing!

WAK Fest Pickleball Challenge Sibu 2026 – Men’s Doubles Champions Crowned! 🏆

What an incredible start to Day 2!

This morning, players battled it out at the WAK Fest Pickleball Challenge (WFPC) Sibu 2026, the first leg of our inaugural multi-city tournament series, hosted at iPSS Pickleball Academy.

After a thrilling morning of competition, we are proud to announce the winners of the Men’s Doubles category:

🥇 Champion
Raden Khairulzaman / Hii Chung Yao

🥈 1st Runner-Up
Joseph Sia / Desmond Ting Sie Kiet

🥉 2nd Runner-Up
Wong Kai Seng / Moses Law Li Wei

🏅 4th Place
Lau Sing Shong / Jason Ting Sii Yung

A special congratulations to our champions, Raden Khairulzaman and Hii Chung Yao, who have secured their place in the WFPC Grand Final in Kuching during WAK Festival 2026, where they will compete against top qualifiers from across the tournament series.

Thank you to all participants for your sportsmanship, dedication, and competitive spirit throughout the tournament. Your enthusiasm made WFPC Sibu 2026 a fantastic success and one of the highlights of this year’s festival.

A huge shoutout to iPSS Pickleball Academy for generously sponsoring the courts and supporting the growth of the pickleball community.

WAK SIBU FESTIVAL 2026: Day 1 Highlights

Yesterday was filled with positive vibes from our vendors, visitors, supporters, partners, and WAKAs!

We kicked off WAK Sibu Festival 2026 with the 7 Beats of the Gong, followed by Celebrating Us by the Melanau community. The evening continued with Citra Malaysia Pirin Kamek by JKKN Sarawak, and we ended the night on a high note with Music Portal: Queens On Stage featuring Time Signature, Irene, and Raquel.
