With the new mandate, National Human Resource Centre (NHRC) is now taking on a new role as an HR think tank to support the national agenda of ensuring Malaysian industries are empowered to compete on the international level by providing relevant industry sectors with strategic and operational HR competencies. The NHRC has also been tasked with developing and influencing HR policy-making within the

country. Objectives:

1. Value, encourage and support the development of Malaysia’s Diverse Workforce
2. Anticipating and Meeting the Changing Needs of the Malaysian Workforce
3. Creating and Enhancing Strategic Partnerships
4. Enhancing Services Through Technology
5. Continually Improving Individual and Organisational Effectiveness

Initiatives:

1. To provide the benchmark for human resources involving the best international practices to assist Malaysian companies to remain competitive within their industries globally.
2. To provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and issues among HR professionals and practitioners with the latest thought-provoking discussions and research on key HR topics.
3. To serve as the government’s main voice on all HR-related matters with regards to national HR policy-making.
4. To validate the HR issues in the country, formulate strategies and develop the blueprint for the government on policy-making.
