A curious boy and a clueless alien. Somewhere in 1980s Malaysia. What could go wrong?

Baby & Slimo is the IP from Baby & Slimo created by Bez, a Malaysian artist whose work lives at the intersection of childhood nostalgia and retro-futurism. Think Saturday morning cartoons, worn-out VHS tapes, and the kind of friendships that donโ€™t need explaining. Bez brings this world to life across comic strips, picture books, designer toys, and original artworks and in 2025, his picture book Baby Rider took home the Yusof Gajah Award for childrenโ€™s literature.
The characters are simple on the surface. The stories hit different.

Recently we have talk with Bandai Namco 021 Fund, an investment arm of Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. to discuss what are some of the criteria they are looking for that will influence their IP investment or collaborating decision. The discussion has given us a great understanding and direction on how we will groom or search charcater IP in the future. We will continue to stay in touch with Bandai Namco 021 Fund and the future is bright for chatcater IP in South East Asia region.
