𝐃𝐀𝐏 𝐀𝐓 𝟔𝟎: 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐓, 𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐀’𝐒 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄
KUALA LUMPUR, 18 MARCH 2026 — As the Democratic Action Party (DAP) marks its 60th Anniversary, we reflect on a journey defined by perseverance, principle and service to the nation.
For six decades, DAP’s struggle has been rooted in a belief that Malaysia belongs to all its people. Through years of advocacy, sacrifice and reform, the party has contributed to strengthening democratic institutions, advancing accountability, and promoting fairness and equal opportunity across our society.
From defending civil liberties to championing good governance, our efforts have helped shape a more open, just and inclusive Malaysia.
Over the years, we have pushed for greater transparency, strengthened institutional checks and balances, and ensured that the voices of ordinary Malaysians are heard in the democratic process. The progress we see today, stronger institutions, greater public awareness, stands as a testament to the collective struggle of the very many who refused to give up on the nation’s promise, and to the belief that change is possible through persistence and unity.
As part of the Unity Government today, DAP remains committed to ensuring that this progress continues. Our role is not merely to hold office, but to deliver meaningful reforms that benefit all Malaysians.
Sixty years on, our mission remains clear: to build a Malaysia that is democratic, inclusive and united. We envision a nation that is prosperous and grounded in integrity, where growth is shared, opportunities are accessible, and public trust in institutions continues to strengthen.
Under the leadership of Secretary-General Sdr Anthony Loke Siew F**k, we move forward as a united front. To every member, our grassroots leaders and all of you who have stood by us, your commitment, your voice and your contribution have sustained us. As we mark this milestone, let this be a renewal of resolve. Let us push ahead with our ultimate aim which is to build a Malaysia which is united, strong and successful.
