We're halfway through harvest season here in Shan State! Since December, the farmers have been hard at work in the fields picking the coffee cherries by hand. It's a slow, labour-intensive process, but you can TASTE the difference in every single cup!

ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်တွင် ရိတ်သိမ်းရာသီတစ်ဝက်လောက် ရောက်နေပါပြီ။ ဒီဇင်ဘာလမှစတင်၍ လယ်သမားများလယ်ကွင်းတွင် ကော်ဖီသီးများကိုလက်ဖြင့် ခဲယဉ်းစွာစနစ်တကျ ကောက်ယူခဲ့ကြပြီးဖြစ်သည်။ကောက်ယူချိန်ကြာမြင့်ပြီး အထူးလုပ်အားစိုက်ရသည့်လုပ်ငန်းစဉ်ဖြစ်သော်လည်း ကော်ဖီခွက်တစ်ခုစီတိုင်းတွင် ကွဲပြားသည့်အရသာသစ်ကို သင်မြည်းကြည့်နိုင်သည်။

Poverty and o***m poppy cultivation are interlinked — some communities turn to what appears to be a profitable crop, but remain stuck in a vicious cycle of poverty due to the conflict and instability that poppy farming brings.

GGC's strategy breaks this cycle by replacing poppy with coffee, so communities in Shan State have access to stable, reliable incomes that they can count on year to year. 🌿

Fairtrade ဆိုသည်မှာ အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာသဘောတူထားသည့်စီးပွားရေးလုပ်ငန်းလုပ်ထုံးလုပ်နည်းများအပေါ် အခြေခံ၍ တရားမျှတသော ကုန်သွယ်ရေး ကိုအားပေးသော အသိအမှတ်ပြု လက်မှတ် တစ်ခု ဖြစ်သည််။

Fairtrade သည် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ထုတ်လုပ်သူများသာမက ကော်ဖီ တောင်ယာသမား များကိုပါ လုံလောက်သော လစာ နှင့် တရားမျှတမူရှိသည့် လုပ်ငန်းခွင် ဟု အသိအမှတ်ပြုသော လက်မှတ်ဖြစ်သည်။
