Experience Florida's natural outback. Bike along the Silver River on a course that will have you traveling over marshlands, tearing thru a dense forest, and hammering down single track switchbacks. Take in nature's beauty and spy alligators, monkeys, turtles, birds, flora, & more as dappled sunlight spills through soaring tree canopies. Join us in what will be one of the most talked about races of
the year. The Duathlon consists of a 3.1 mile run, 12 mile bike, and 3.1 mil run. All Duathlon participants will receive a t-shirt, swag bag, finishers medal and VIP post race celebration. This race start at 8am. The Duathlon consists of a 3.1 mile run, 12 mile (approx) bike, and 3.1 mil run.Participants of this combined run/bike/run event will enjoy the 5K route plus the biking trails at Silver Springs State Park. These bike pathways include both pine forest & sand hill sections. Any bike can be used, but a mountain/hybird bike is recommended for this off-road route. Helmets are required. To take this challenge, run the 5K loop & proceed to the bike corral instead of the finish line. Next, transition to your bike & complete the 12 mile (approx) bike course and return to the bike corral. Finally, repeat the 5K loop & proceed to the Finish Line to complete the event. This race start at 8am.
5K Run: This race takes place in beautiful Silver Springs State Park with waterway & woodland views. Travel along paved pathways, elevated boardwalks, dirt paths, & some new areas you may have never explored. Participants will encounter ever changing surfaces ranging from hard packed dirt, cement, asphalt and wood planks. The 5K race completes the race loop 1-time.
10k Trail Run: Participants get to experience this picturesque route twice! All should be sure to take note of the special directional signage. Both 5K &10k races start at 8:15am. Duathlon Teams: Try your hand at this race by finding a friend to work together. First, Team Member #1 completes (1) 5K loop and tags their teammate at the bike corral instead of crossing the Finish Line. Next, Team Members #2 launches & completes the 12 mile bike portion & tags their teammate at the bike corral. Finally, Team Member #1 repeats (1) 5K loop and crosses the Finish Line to complete the event. Swag, Awards and Prices
