WPL 2024..

Hi Friends,

As you all are aware Wild Sri Lanka is serving each and every its member equally and our strategies are always inline with our purpose.

WPL started in 2022 by CWPC. We got together with CWPC ( Ceylon Wildlife Photographers Community) in 2023 and successfully completed the glamorous event "WPL 2023". Lawan Wickramasinghe and Bhagya Silva Members who actively involved from CWPC last year are not in the country and we thought of not involving any one who participate as players in the organizing team. Therefore we discussed and thought of doing Wild Sri Lanka Premier League 'WPL" and discussed this some of the founders who are in SL (Mindaka) and recently they have inquired about the dates of the tournament as well.

Since Saman Haloluwa ayya who contributed as the tournament chairman was resigned just after the tournament and told very clearly to find a new person to do it next year We thought of doing it by our own for the betterment of the society and Tharindu Sendanayake was unanimously elected as the tournament chairman.

As you all know We as WildSriLanka do not go behind blindly for sponsorships and we are not dependent of any of our sponsors as we clearly mention them about what we offer in our proposal forms and show what we did and what we intend to do with the current year. So with that purely positive intention we have had a meeting and launched the Wild Sri Lanka Premier League "WPL" 2024.

We thank you already confirmed sponsors Mr. Kushal Fonseka, Mr. Manju Sirimalwatta for the trust you already placed on us. As a group of professionals we always abide by our group’s rules and its purpose. Therefore we don’t want to get in to unnecessary level specially in social media platforms against any individual or entity as we have the back bone to deal directly with anyone in any level.

We had ups and downs during last eight years and year on year we developed by learning from our own mistakes. Some people has contacted some of our Admins and raised their concerns saying that we have forcefully got in to this and plan the WPL and its not ours.

Sirs, we respect to your concerns and will withdraw from organizing this tournament as we don’t want to hurt anyone.

We always respect our 53.8K members who have the passion towards our purpose. Will continue our work as usual!
