Organized by the Hospitality, Tourism & Events Management Degree Program under the Department of Tourism Studies – Faculty of Management in Uva Wellassa University. Located in the scenic city of Badulla, Uva Wellassa University is dedicated to becoming a center of excellence in adding value to the national resource base. The Hospitality, Tourism & Events Management degree program focuses on building academically competent, practically skilled, and entrepreneurially driven graduates ready to contribute to Sri Lanka’s thriving hospitality and tourism sectors. In 2024, the second-year undergraduates, with the guidance of the academic staff, successfully organized the inaugural "Dainties" competition. Since then, it has evolved into a highly anticipated annual academic event, attracting growing interest and participation each year. This year, "Dainties" proudly showcases diverse competitive categories in culinary arts and bartending, offering students a platform for hands-on experience in event planning, hospitality, and creative expression.
