Highlights from Day 2 of the 19th Africa Scout Conference in

Delegates explored the WOSM Marketplace, a one-stop hub showcasing the WOSM Services that empower and strengthen National Scout Organizations to deliver quality Scouting programmes to more young people worldwide.

A major moment of the day was the announcement of the future hosts:
🇸🇳 Senegal will host the 20th Africa Scout Conference and 11th Africa Scout Youth Forum in 2028
🇳🇪 Niger will host the 10th Africa Scout Jamboree in 2029
Delegates also had the opportunity to connect with the hosts of upcoming world Scouting events, exchanging ideas and inspiration for the years ahead.

Over 200 delegates have come together in Antananarivo, . The day began with engaging discussions on the New Strategy for Scouting and inspiring reflections on the remarkable growth of the Movement, now reaching 60 million members worldwide, with Africa making a significant contribution to this global milestone.

The 10th Africa Scout Youth Forum in has elected six Youth Advisors to the Africa Scout Committee.

These Advisors will represent the voices and perspectives of young people within the Africa Scout Committee, the governing body of Scouting in Africa.

The newly elected Advisors are, Mr Youssoufa Sali from Cameroon, Mr Mchangama Ben Ali from Comoros , Mr Diallo Aboubakr Siddik Abdou Samad from Côte d’Ivoire , Mr Kuyateh Momodou from The Gambia , Ms Ma Dalton Tetoi Sabine from Rwanda and Mr Benjamin Banda from Zambia.

👏 Congratulations to the new Advisors, entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that young people remain at the heart of Scouting’s activities and decision-making across Africa.

Hosted by Scouts Madagasikara and organized by Scouting in Africa, this event highlights the powerful role the Scout Movement plays in Africa’s development. 🌍

Africa Scout Day, observed on March 13, was founded in 1995 by the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), now the African Union. 🙌
