Master Clarence Mwakio Ingalwa Chairman Kenya Tong-IL Moo-Do Federation and President Africa Tong-IL Moo-Do Federation made a courtesy call to Her Excellency Deputy Governor County Government of Kilifi Her Excellency Flora Mbetsa. I was accompanied by Edith Kaale, KTMF Psychologist and Perpetua Ndunda, the KTMF Medical Liason
We had a very broad discussion on plans to expand and develop Tong-IL Moo-Do in Kilifi County.
In our discussion we also acknowledged several Tong-IL Moo-Do Kenya National Team members from the County and have won medals in numerous World Championships across the world .We discussed the
need to utilise their talent and in training many more youth in Kilifi.
We also discussed at length the need to fully harness the potential of the annual Mombasa Open Tong-IL Moo-Do International Martial Arts Championship which have been hosted in Mombasa County with activity programmes cutting across Kilifi, Kwale, Taita Taveta and several other counties in Kenya. The Championship has capacity to bring to Kenya over 10,000 visitors for the two weeks global Martial arts championship coming with numerous economic benefits to our nation.
The Deputy Governor also shed light in the numerous sports and youth talent development programmes cutting across multiple sectors enriching many future leaders.
She also congratulate Kilifi born and bred champions like Samson Mambo, Andrew Wanje, Festus Chea, Joseph Mwarandu, Mathias Baraka, Shukurani Katana, Omari Ngala, just to name a few. She will soon host them and present the team of champions to the Governor of Kilifi County His Excellency Governor Gideon Mungaro who has supported Tong-IL Moo-Do players since a decade ago.
We look forward towards having vibrant Tong-IL Moo-Do events as well as mental health awareness programmes in the expansive Kilifi County.
