Anfield test awaits Chelsea π π π
Chelsea still has a lot to play for especially now that Villa qualified for the Europa league final. The game against Liverpool is even more important now than it ever was because a 6th placed finish may likely guarantee qualifications to the UCL of Villa wins the Europa league final and finishes 5th on the table.
Chelsea must therefore take matters into their hands and dust themselves off. They must aim to finish as high as possible (6th) to have a shot at qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season. Liverpool vs Chelsea has always been a classic... And after beating Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in October, 2025, the Blues will be aiming for three consecutive Premier League wins over Liverpool for the first time since 2014. If Chelsea manages to win, it will be the first time since the 2013/14 season that Chelsea will do a league double over Liverpool.
The trip to Anfield is a daunting task as Chelsea have won just once in the past 10 Premier League away games over Liverpool (5 draws and 4 defeats). The Blues must rewrite history with a win.
Interestingly, only Arsenal and Man City (32) and Tottenham (26) have won more away points in the EPL this season than Chelsea (25). They are so good on the road and may win at Anfield tomorrow despite not winning a single EPL game in the last 6 outings.
