FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION: LEGAL UPDATE

This is to formally notify the public that Wakili Kemboi Gilbert has instituted legal proceedings before the High Court by way of a Constitutional Petition, filed under a Certificate of Urgency.

The Petition, filed by Wakili Kemboi Gilbert , challenges the National Land Commission (NLC) over its directive to subdivide two leasehold properties, namely L.R. No. 3977 & 3978, situated in Kapchebwai, Sigowet-Soin Constituency, which are lawfully held by the County Government of Kericho.

The Core of the Legal Challenge:

The action is predicated on several fundamental legal breaches by the NLC:

· Abrogation of Due Process: The directive was issued in the absence of any form of public participation and without the requisite written notice, thereby violating principles of natural justice and fair administrative action.
· Usurpation of County Authority: The NLC's directive was undertaken without the mandatory approval of the County Assembly of Kericho, constituting a blatant overreach into devolved functions.
· Constitutional Infringement: The actions of the NLC are contended to be ultra vires (beyond their powers) and a direct threat to the framework of devolved governance.

Relief Sought from the Judiciary:

Wakili Kemboi Gilbert has petitioned the court for the following declaratory and injunctive orders:

1. To quash and declare null and void the NLC's directive.
2. To issue a permanent declaration recognising the parcels as the inalienable property of Kericho County.
3. To affirm that the NLC's actions are unconstitutional, null, and void ab initio.

This legal measure is deemed necessary to safeguard public property, uphold the rule of law, and preserve community cohesion within Soin Division.

Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Despite my busy schedule and through my able team i touched based and convey condolences to the family of Elisha of kapkoimulong family and the larger kapbororek clan domiciled at kapchanga village, sigowet ward. I mourned mama Eunice as a matriarch, and a mother figure who destined his children to success. May God grant fortitude strength and courage to the family for the great loss.

Mutyo missing kapkoimulong and the entire lineage.

**Eid Al-Fitr Celebration celebration**

Wakili Kemboi Foundation wishes all Muslim Brothers Eid Al-Fitr

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!

Eid Al-Fitr is a momentous day that marks the conclusion of Ramadan, a month of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth. It is a time to rejoice, to offer gratitude, and to strengthen our bonds as a community.

As the crescent moon appeared in the sky, it signaled not only the end of our fasting but also a new beginning filled with hope and blessings. Eid Al-Fitr reminds us of the importance of faith, compassion, and charity. During Ramadan, we have been challenged to exercise self-control, to empathize with those in need, and to seek forgiveness for our shortcomings. Today, we celebrate these lessons and the opportunity to emerge renewed.

Eid is not just a celebration of the end of fasting; it is a celebration of unity and togetherness. It is a time to reconnect with family and friends, to share in the joy of our community, and to extend our hand to those less fortunate. Let us remember the importance of giving, sharing, and supporting one another—values that are at the heart of Islam.

As we don our new clothes and gather around the festive table filled with delicious food, let us also take a moment to reflect on those who are less fortunate. Many around the world are still struggling with hunger, poverty, and conflict. As we celebrate, let us remain committed to the principles of Zakat, ensuring that our blessings are shared and that no one is left behind.

On this joyous occasion, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every muslim brothers and sisters. Let us embrace the spirit of Eid Al-Fitr: a spirit of love, forgiveness, and generosity. May our hearts be filled with joy and our lives be filled with peace.

As we exchange greetings and wishes today, let us remember to carry the lessons of Ramadan into our everyday lives. Let us strive to cultivate kindness, be patient, and spread happiness wherever we go.

In closing, I wish you all a blessed Eid filled with joy, health, and prosperity. May Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you and your loved ones, today and always.

Eid Mubarak!
