The IDIOT SAVANT theater company was founded in 2005 and it has developed an alternative style of performance that weaves filmed images, contemporary music and the lyrical texts composed by Koh-Toh-Shi, the founder, a writer-director, and a poet. Pursuing its own theory of body expression, company’s specific style,“Impassioned tableau theater - expressing less to enhance audience’s imagination” ha

s evolved. The company still advances to create and convey the unique theatrical space.

2005年結成。恒十絲の硬質で抒情的な詩・テキストを基軸に、固有の張り詰めた劇空間をつくる。13年『いのちづたひ』では 12時間×５回公演を敢行。16年にパリ公演『東北 TO-HO-KU ー11年の足音』を発表。Belloo Creative （オーストラリア）、Good Company Arts（ニュージーランド）との共同制作『砂の家-House in the Dunes-』18年豪州滞在制作・公演、20年横浜・貞昌院本堂公演。21年、同3ヶ国共同制作Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL公式プログラム『あきる野-AKIRUNO-』（＠戸倉しろやまテラス・体育館）、つづく22年、吉祥寺シアターにてハイナー・ミュラー『ハムレットマシーン』を発表。https://idiot-savant-theater-company.tumblr.com
