Third Arrangement began back in 2012 after creating a show using the styles and techniques of Tadeuz Kantor. This production was a collaboration combining the skills and talents of 50 actors from varying countries with Polish directors Andrejz and Teresa Welminski, who also happened to be actors in Kantor's famous Cricot 2, a Polish experimental theatre company founded in 1955. This collaboration
led to their first production, PAGES FROM THE BOOK OF... which premièred at Rose Bruford College. With such a strong response to the initial show the company then took their show to Edinburgh Fringe festival 2012, performing at the Summerhall venue. They have also travelled abroad and performed in Bratislava (Slovakia - also where the production received two awards for its calibre), Moscow (Russia), Krakow and Gardzenice (Poland). The work of the company is structured such that the cast numbers can fluctuate to accommodate both larger and smaller casts. In this way, with such a large company of actors, the show has the capability to be performed whenever a selection of the actors is available to tour. Third Arrangement builds its work around an artistic aesthetic, often pulling inspiration from artists or from sketches and drawings - for instance the drawings of Bruno Schulz that appear in his written works. Such inspiration often develops into a grotesque characteristic which has become part of the style of Third Arrangement. It is important for the aesthetic of the show to be complete; this does not mean that each character must be beautiful in the conventional sense. Third Arrangement continues to develop their initial show in the hope to bring it to many more countries and festivals around the world. During this time they shall also be working on future productions.
