s contest is not just about sharing costume photos. It’s also about the story you tell of how you made the costume, what reactions it got, what was funny, difficult, inspiring about making it, and any other anecdotes that may bring a smile to our faces. So make sure to invest as much energy and creativity in your write up as you did in creating your costume. You may submit as many entries as you want. The Simple Submission Form

Here are a few tips to make it easy for you…
• Tell us your costume's story. Explain how you made it, but also share how it went, what reactions it got, what was funny or difficult about making it, and anything else that may bring a smile to our faces on our face book page . Write post it , but just let it flow - the more the merrier.
• Give your costume submission a compelling title
• Paste the Title into the submission form. Can’t wait to see your submission. TitleThis will be the title of your entire submission. Write a compelling and descriptive title, for instance:, , Easy Ghost Busters Couple Costume…
Write-UpJust let it flow. Give us how-to directions, but also tell us what YOU went through to create the costume, what was the best part for you, what was funniest or hardest part, and what reactions it got. Pre-Contest Reporting Craftsmanship Judging
All contestants are asked to be one hour before the contest begins. The judges may ask you additional questions about how you’ve crafted your costumes before you go on stage. C4 Kids Costume Contest: Arrive at 2PM

The Liaison and/or the judges reserve the right to promote your category selection to one more fitting of your obvious skill level without consultation. If you hold skill level awards for costuming from another convention/event you cannot enter a category below that level. Fraudulent information on your entry form results in immediate removal from skill level competition. You may still be permitted stage time but will not be eligible for a prize or honourable mention. For those of you who made a prop but not the costume be sure to state that on your Costume Contest Registration form so it can be judged accordingly. Masters
Displays a professional level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and performance. Novice
Must be 13 years of age or older. Displays a basic knowledge of craftsmanship. Youth
Any contestant 12 years of age or under at the time of this competition will compete as a youth. Mass produced costumes which are purchased from stores can only be entered into presentation. Youth Self-made: A youth contestant who has largely or wholly constructed his/her own costume. Youth Adult-Made: A youth contestant whose costume has been largely or wholly constructed by an adult. This is treated like a commissioned costume, entry is done with the name of the person who was commissioned and the child’s name as the model.. If they are not this costume must be entered in the Presentation category. Presentation
This category is reserved for contestants who are ineligible for awards but still wish to showcase their costumes onstage. Rules
The Costume Contest Liaison reserves the right to eliminate anyone from competition on the basis of taste, danger to the audience/other contestants or for any other reason deemed sufficient. Purchased costumes may only be shown in the Presentation category. (See Presentation category for details)
Commissioned costumes may be entered into any category but the person who created the costume must be named, present to answer questions on craftsmanship and will be named alongside the contestant should they win any awards. No nudity. This is a family friendly event and should your costume expose male or female genitalia, you will be removed from the convention. Surprise the audience, . If you are planning to do anything other than walk on and off you must tell the Liaison in advance via your registration form. No alterations to your application or personal requirements (other than dropping out of the contest) will be permitted once a contestant has registered. If you wish to have a specific song, music or sound played, address the audience, or anything else during your performance that would require the sound system, you must prepare it on a CD. You are responsible for ensuring the clip is appropriately cut/prepped for the time cues you want. You are entirely responsible for providing this and ensuring that it works prior to contest registration. No sound files will be accepted once a contestant has registered. We will not be allowing the use of a microphone. Awards

This is awarded to the best performance/school /institutions and display of craftsmanship to an individual or group. Honorary Mentions
Are meant entirely to give credit where credit is due. Honorary mentions are created by the judges depending on what kind of costumes appear in bulk or to highlight a particular competitor’s achievements. Keep in mind a minimum number of entries in your genre/theme will be required to place. Some honorary awards are being sponsored by interested fan groups and as well as local groups and businesses. Weapons Policy
All costumes must comply with our weapons policy. Journeyman:
