We are basking in the glory of the grand success of the previous four Global Updates on Pain (2000, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2015). of Anaesthesiology and Pain at Lilavati Hospital and Research Center are organizing Global Update on Pain (VI) to be held on 19 to 22nd November 2015. Pain Management and Research Foundation-India India is a scientific body to promote the cause of P
ain and its management. Its activities include organizing of Global Updates on Pain (every three year since 2000); international guest lecture; panel discussion; symposia. In addition Pain Exhibition; Pain Management Awareness Program and T.V. talks for lay people. This meeting will have International and national faculty , cadaveric hands on workshop, basic and advance pain procedures training, video sessions,One on one Q/A sessions/Debates, plenary sessions, Seminars, Symposia; Meet the expert session, Video Presentations, Panel discussions and Poster presentations. There will be Hands on Cadaver Workshop, video case presentation. Global Updates on Pain held till date were in true sense Global as these meetings had academic co-sponsors worldwide such as: UICC (Switzerland); Indian Society for Study of Pain; Royal Society of Medicine (RSM); Specialist in Pain International Network (SPIN-U.K.); Egyptian Pain Society; Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai Pain Management Group and Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. . This time the Indian Society for Study of Pain, Egyptian Society for Pain Management, Arab Union for Pain Management, African Association for Study of Pain, Pain Clinic Of India-CIPM and Dept. of Anatomy and Anaesthesiology, JJ Group of Hospitals and Grant Medical College, Mumbai are academic co-sponsors for the meeting. In addition this meeting is endorsed by Pain Management Medicine, Special Interest Group of British Pain Society. Pan Arab Institute of Pain, Indian Society for Study of Pain and Dept. of Anatomy and Anaesthesiology, JJ Group of Hospitals and Grant Medical College, Mumbai are academic co-sponsors for the meeting.
“Pain Exhibition” , “Pain Awareness Program” and “T.V talk show” for lay people will be additional highlights of the meeting. We will have social and cultural events for the delegates, accompanying persons and the spouses. See you in Mumbai
