Thank you is a very small word for your greatfullness . You hosted us well . We celebrated food over laughter , good vibes , ambience and decor .

RISING STARS OF TOMORROW to acid survivors as entrepreneurs were also felicitated at our 6th Annual Inspiring Women Achievers Awards- IWAA 2025 organised by SHE in association with Universal Education Equity Foundation founded by Dr Bratati Bhattacharyya curated by Shagufta Hanaphie on May 3rd at The M.P Birla Planetarium in Kolkata.

For acid attack survivors, the challenges are more formidable than most. The ground reality is that majority of survivors struggle to find employment, though a handful of companies are now warming up to hiring them. Hence
Acid survivors are increasingly becoming entrepreneurs, leveraging their resilience and experiences to create businesses and empower others. Some survivors are establishing their own businesses.
Amongst them are Suniti Karmakar & Jhuma ( have lost thier vision and are partially blind now ) who were felicitated at the same stage at IWAA for thier entrepreneurial success.

We are extremely greatfull to our Special Guests Debjani Ghosh of Alok Foundation & Shagufta Adnan from Abstract Academy to be present to do the honours by felicitating the acid survivors. Ms Adnan is also a Goodwill Ambassador to our ngo Best Friendz Society.

Our ngo partner Best Friendz Society has been working for thier upliftment for past few years under the guidance of our Chairperson Shagufta Hanaphie.
