অসম ছাত্ৰ সংগঠন, নেৰিষ্ট Asan Association of students belonging from Assam and who tries to uplift its culture and heritage away from Assam. It helps the people at the needy hours.

The development of culture of a society is expressed through its activities such as its rites and rituals, art and practices of the society. Assam, known as the land of blue hills and red river, has a rich cultural heritage as it is a land of composite cultures with social and cultural diversity. Assamese people with diversified ethnic groups celebrating most colourful festivals is a perfect fusio

n of heritage of different tribes and sub-tribes from time immemorial.
“Rongali Bihu”, the harvest festival of Assam, is celebrated in the onset of the Assamese New Year and the coming of spring, which inspires unbounded joy and enthusiasm, expressed through exotic songs and dances. The Assamese community in NERIST, Nirjuli has been upholding the Axomia Xanskriti (Assamese culture) away from the native land since last 29 years. It is needless to mention, that the NERIST Rongali Bihu celebration is a reinforcement of the belief and commitment in the traditional culture and a wonderfully brilliant effort to keep it alive in our NERIST society. This celebration have never been limited to Assamese community itself but has encompassed various other Indian communities with diverse cultures residing in the campus thus giving it a cosmopolitan outlook.

Adios batch 2026❤️

Yesterday wasn’t just a farewell… it was an emotional goodbye to the seniors who became our family.

The room was filled with tears, tight hugs, and moments none of us were ready for. Seeing everyone cry, trying to hold on to each other a little longer, said everything words couldn’t. They weren’t just seniors they were our guides, our support system, and a big part of our everyday life.

From laughter to lessons, from memories to bonds, they gave us so much to carry forward. And today, as they leave, it truly feels like we’re letting go of a piece of our own journey.

Not a goodbye… just a “we’ll miss you more than words can say.” 💛

Tribute to Zubeen Garg at NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh

The students of Assam at NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh, came together to organize a heartfelt lighting of diyas and a condolence procession in memory of our beloved icon, Zubeen Garg, whose sudden demise has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of millions.

With deep sorrow and reverence, students and well-wishers gathered in large numbers to pay tribute to the legendary singer, composer, and cultural ambassador of Assam. The glowing diyas symbolized the eternal light of his music and the undying love of his admirers.

The condolence procession echoed with emotions, as people remembered not just an artist but a guiding soul whose songs became the heartbeat of generations.

Though Zubeen da is no longer with us, his voice, spirit, and legacy will continue to inspire and live on forever.
