Made with hand-pounded rice flour, jaggery, and sesame seeds, this deep-fried delight has been a festive essential in Odisha for centuries. Originally prepared during Manabasa Gurubara (Lakshmi Puja), it was believed to invite prosperity and happiness into the home. 🌾🏡
