This is the official page of the IIT-Bombay's Tech fest event- International Robotics Challenge (IRC) workshop, for the central zone, to be conducted at Lakshmi Narain College of Technology on 11th and 12th October 2013. Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is one of the premier institute in the field of science and technology in the world. Techfest, a non-profit student organization of
IIT Bombay has been organizing its annual science and technology festival. From a fledgling event in 1998, today it has grown to be the largest festival of its kind in Asia. Techfest enjoys a participation of about 92,000 students from over 2200 colleges across India and over 6,000 faculty members and corporate executives. In 2004, Techfest took a bold step of going international and has since received enthusiastic response from the Asia-Pacific region with entries from Thailand, Australia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Nepal, United States of America, Iran and United Arab Emirates. In its sixteenth edition in 2013, Techfest will be held from 3rd to 5th of January at IIT Bombay. IRC, a unique initiative by Techfest. From the design of a system of robots synchronized to perform according to the rules of the game played on a high precision technical contest arena to the ecstasy of beating the competitors at a technical contest of international level; expertise manual handling skills as well as performing specific tasks autonomously, IRC has it all. The proposed centers (Country) for this edition of Techfest IRC are:
France, Russia, Sweden, Thailand, Egypt, Ethiopia, Pakistan, SriLanka, Bangladesh, Nepal & India.
• ‘Certificate of Participation’ from Techfest-2014 IIT-Bombay & Robosapiens Technologies Pvt. will be awarded to each participant.
• ‘Certificate of merit’ from Techfest-2014 IIT-Bombay & Robosapiens Technologies Pvt. will be awarded to top 3 teams and the selected teams will have opportunity to be a part of Tech Fest 2014, IIT bombay on 3rd-5th Jan 2014. Robotics Kit will be provided to each team. Bhopal Zonal Center Details:
