Founded in 1895, Maccabi uses its signature sports activity to attract Jews of all ages into closer personal identification and involvement with their Communities a

nd Israel. The Maccabi movement is a leading element in Jewish/Zionist informal education & a leading agent worldwide in the spread of popular Israeli Culture. Many Maccabi Clubs serve as community centers providing a wide diversity of educational, cultural, social, and sports activities. Most famously MWU is the organizer of the Maccabiah in Israel every 4 years - "The Jewish Olympics".

מכבי תנועה עולמית מונה היום כ-450 אלף חברים בכ-400 מועדוני מכבי ביותר מ-65 מדינות על-פני חמש היבשות. הנהלת התנועה פועלת נמרצות להעמקת הזהות היהודית-ציונית של יהודי התפוצות, באמצעות פעילות חברתית-תרבותית-חינוכית שוטפת ותוך טיפוח פעילות ספורטיבית ענפה בארץ ובמועדונים בתפוצות.

History, strength, and Jewish pride at the World Jewish Sports Museum!
Yesterday, we officially launched our new exhibition on the legendary football club, Hakoah Vienna.
Their story is about so much more than just football- it’s an inspiring journey of courage, resilience, and Jewish identity.
The team completely changed Jewish sports across Europe.
A huge thanks to all our amazing partners who made this exhibition happen and brought this powerful, historic story home to Beit Maccabi ⚽️🤝
