use compound, and The Jerusalem Theater venues, the festival holds five days of events and offers a quality art experience in a special Jerusalem late-summer atmosphere. Center stage will showcase an international variety of solo dance works with a singular personal statement, which corresponds with social, environmental, political, and cultural issues, and in the same movement touches the sole soul by its spirit - to the abstract. Alongside the main events performed at the Hansen House, the festival offers master classes, discussion events, and panels open to the public and the professional community. JIFDS holds a residency program for Jerusalem artists and international guests, who are invited to the creation process of an original solo that will have its world premiere at the festival. The artists will work in the ancient spaces of the historic Lepers' House - The Hansen House - and will create a contemporary dance, responding to the environment and place. JISDF is an immediate meeting point between cultures and people, in the tension between body and place, and in the possibility of personal and universal multidisciplinary expression - just Jerusalem. In a black dress and sneakers, in ripped jeans and a blazer, the JISDF festival celebrates movement and creation that is all here and now.

JISDF is a production of Angela Dance Co., alongside Mikro Theater and Hansen House as partners. The festival was founded with the support of the Jerusalem Foundation, the Jerusalem Municipality, and the JDA - Jerusalem Development Authority.

פסטיבל ייחודי בינלאומי למחול עכשווי בירושלים, המארח עבודות סולו של כוריאוגרפים מהארץ ומהעולם. אירוע יוצא דופן מבית להקת אנגלה המפגיש יצירה אינדיבידואלית בקשר ישיר עם הקהל.
תחת כיפת השמיים בחצר בית הנסן המיתולוגי, ובמרחבי תיאטרון ירושלים מקיים הפסטיבל חמישה ימי אירועים ומציע חוויה של אמנות איכותית באווירת סוף קיץ ירושלמית. במופעים המרכזיים על הבמה יוצגו שלל יצירות מחול סולו בעלות אמירה אישית ייחודית, שמתכתבות עם סוגיות חברתיות, סביבתיות, פוליטיות ותרבותיות, ובאותה תנועה נוגעות בעולמות הנפש - מגבולות המקום והזמן אל המופשט.
לצד אירועי הלילה מציע הפסטיבל כיתות אמן, אירועי שיח ופאנלים פתוחים לקהל הרחב ולקהילה המקצועית, ומקיים תכנית רזידנסי לאמנים ירושלמים ולאורחים בינלאומיים המוזמנים לתהליך יצירת סולו מקורית שתעלה בבכורה עולמית באירועי הפסטיבל. האמנים יפעלו בחללים העתיקים של בית המצורעים ההיסטורי – בית הנסן - וייצרו מחול עכשווי, תלוי זמן ומקום.
הפסטיבל הוא נקודת מפגש בלתי אמצעית בחיבור שבין תרבויות ואנשים, במתח שבין גוף ומקום, ובאפשרות לביטוי רב תחומי אישי ואוניברסלי - ממש כמו ירושלים.
בשמלה שחורה וסניקרס, בג'ינס קרוע ובלייזר, הפסטיבל חוגג תנועה ויצירה שכל כולה כאן ועכשיו.

לצד להקת המחול אנגלה, המובילה את היוזמה, שותפים להפקת הפסטיבל תיאטרון מיקרו ובית הנסן. הפסטיבל נוסד בתמיכת קרן החדשנות של הקרן לירושלים, עיריית ירושלים והרשות לפיתוח ירושלים.
