Festival Finale at Bank Lane ✨

An outstanding way to close Crossed Wires ’26.

Between Ourselves opened the night with their first ever DJ set of entirely their own productions — cool, understated and beautifully paced. A reminder of just how talented (and under-appreciated) this duo are at crafting tracks and setting a mood.

Bantum followed with his Waterford debut, and what a treat it was. Live beats and melodies woven together with effortless, on-the-fly wizardry on his setup. Hypnotic, musical and completely absorbing throughout — no surprise given the recognition his productions have earned in recent years.

And then came one of those moments.

As Abbacaxi was testing his setup, he instinctively began singing over Between Ourselves’ final track. The fader went up, the room was wondering what was going on, and suddenly something truly special was happening. A beautiful, unplanned moment of musical connection.

Abbacaxi went on to deliver a stunning set — soulful, hypnotic, Kerri Chandler vibes, live looping on percussion, guitar, bass and vocals, with the whole room completely locked in from start to finish. Incredible!

Huge thanks to Dean and all the crew at , and to Matthew Reilly () for capturing it so perfectly 📸

Seven events.
One unforgettable finish.
So proud of how this festival ended.
See you all at the next one ❤️🙌

Filters & Frequencies — Crossed Wires ’26 ☕🎶

On Sunday afternoon we ran our first Filters & Frequencies at Trade Coffee, and it couldn’t have gone better.

Trade proved to be the perfect setting — a relaxed, welcoming space where live electronic music merged with good coffee and easy conversation. Friends, music lovers, and curious passers-by dropped in, stayed a while, and helped create such a warm atmosphere.

We were treated to three brilliant live performances — some stepping into a live setting for the very first time:

🔹 Finatn Kavanagh — glitchy, synth-led house
🔹 Eamon O’Malley — beautiful, piano-led soundscapes
🔹 Danny Carroll — lo-fi chill with live bass guitar to close things out

Two hours of music, chats, connection and beautiful brews — exactly what this event was about.

Huge thanks to Seamie and all the crew at Trade. They couldn't have been any more supportive and friendly if they tried. ❤️

We hope to do it again sometime.
Producers and musicians — go get your live on. 🙌

Day Two of Crossed Wires ’26 — and what a journey it was ✨

From deep connection and shared movement, to total immersion in sound, to a packed-out January night that felt like summer — Day Two gave us everything.

We began with Conscious Dance led by Martina Acosta & Declan Burke — three hours of movement, openness and connection. Such a warm, welcoming group, and you could feel it afterwards… everyone buzzing, grounded and lifted all at once 💛

Next came Blackout Beats at the Medieval Museum, presented with Waterford Treasures — a truly transportive shared experience. Sitting together in complete darkness, listening to the music of Nils Frahm and Jon Hopkins, created something rare: stillness, togetherness and deep listening. Powerful and beautiful in equal measure 🖤

And then… we danced.

A massive turnout at Geoff’s for Peter Vogelaar, Anadem & R.E.E.V., where the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Against all odds, a January night felt like a summer evening — such was the energy in the room. Incredible music, smiling faces, and a dancefloor fully locked in from start to finish 🔥

Huge thanks to , , and for hosting these moments and helping make the day so special.

And, as always, massive thanks to Matthew Reilly () for capturing the spirit, atmosphere and connection of the day so beautifully 📸

Two days down.
So much shared.
And now, let’s finish it off in style. 🙌

A massive thank you to everyone who came down and filled the room with such an amazing atmosphere. The energy, the vibe, the love for the music — absolutely top class ❤️

Gavin Boyce’s debut live performance was something really special. Stepping out from behind the decks and into a live setting for the first time, he delivered a deep, emotive, groove-driven set that showed just how incredible he is as a producer. Simply superb!

Paul McCarthy (RePublik) was on point as ever, bringing deep and engaging selections and serious dancefloor knowledge to keep things moving all night long 🎶🔥

Huge thanks as always to the team at for providing such a vital community space for music in the city, and to Matthew Reilly for capturing the night so beautifully 📸

⚡ BANK HOLIDAY STYLE ⚡
Crossed Wires Live – Bank Holiday Weekend

The storms have passed — it’s time to open the blinds and step out into the Bank Holiday weekend in style.

This Sunday night, we return to Bank Lane for a special night of live electronic music, with Abbacaxi taking centre stage.

Hailing from Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Abbacaxi is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer whose live shows blur the lines between indie-electronic, trip-hop and house. His sound is rooted in groove and emotion — intimate one moment, euphoric and hands-in-the-air the next.

Starting out in rock, funk and soul, he’s since carved out a distinctive live approach — looping his own sounds, layering synths, instruments and vocals in real time, and turning the room into a journey. His debut EP Endless earned international airplay, BBC Introducing support and a Rolling Stone Highlights of the Week feature, alongside festival appearances and support slots for Elder Island and Elderbrook.

Expect a set that grows with the night — melodies that linger, rhythms that pull you in, and moments that remind you why getting out of the house was worth it.

🎶 Live Electronica Under the Canopy at Geoff’s 🎶

This Saturday, Crossed Wires returns with a carefully curated night of live electronic music at Geoff’s, one of Waterford’s most iconic and loved venues ⚡

A true cornerstone of the city’s cultural life, Geoff’s has long been a place where good food, great conversation and quality music meet. Come down early for a bite to eat and a pint, then settle in as the back space transforms for a night of electronic sounds — all taking place with heaters on and under the covered canopy to keep things cosy regardless of the weather ✨

Headlining the night is Peter Vogelaar, bringing his acclaimed two-man live electronica show to Waterford. Following a standout year of live gigs, festival appearances and a memorable closing set at Crossed Wires Festival, Peter’s live set blends deep grooves, lush textures and organic electronic energy, driven by live percussion from Conor Walsh.

Joining him is Anadem (live) — Waterford-based producer and multi-instrumentalist. Expect organic house, evolving soundscapes and an expressive live performance rooted in warmth and musicality.

Completing the lineup is R.E.E.V. (DJ). Known for his emotive, melodic selections spanning deep house and breaks, R.E.E.V. brings a thoughtful, flowing approach to the dancefloor.

⚡ FESTIVAL FINALE ⚡
Crossed Wires Live – Electronic Music Festival

We close out Crossed Wires Live 2026 with something truly special.
This Sunday night, we return to Bank Lane, one of Waterford’s most special live event spaces, for our Festival Finale — and we couldn’t imagine a better lineup of artists — Bantum, Abbacaxi and Between Ourselves — to close out the weekend.

Bank Lane hosted our finale last year and it was an incredible night — the room, the energy, the connection between artist and audience. It’s a space made for live music that brings people together, and we’re delighted to be back.

Bantum is the project of Cork native producer Ruairi Lynch, an artist who’s spent nearly 15 years shaping a sound that blends electronica, funk, dance and hip hop. His music is groove-driven and emotionally rich, balancing forward-thinking production with warmth, movement and soul.

His acclaimed 2016 album Move earned an RTÉ Choice Prize nomination, cementing Bantum as one of Ireland’s most vital electronic voices. From Electric Picnic and Body & Soul to Sounds from a Safe Harbour and beyond, his live performances are known for their energy, depth and connection.

Expect a live set built for the room — rich in rhythm, warmth and momentum.
A proper send-off to the festival.
