As you are all aware, the RRAI sadly has had to cease Road Race and Organisational Operations in regards to pursuing our overall goals. The RRAI has now fully refunded all "Full Send Season and Solo Season Tickets". However, the RRAI did set up a GoFundMe account for donations, however the sum didn't meet the desired total, and we wish to either refund the donations, or donate the GoFundMe amount to the Injured Riders Fund, that is a registered Charity, that assists riders who have been injured or worse when competing in our Sport. We have created a Poll, to gauge peoples feelings and thoughts on the matter in full transparency.
Currently there is a total of €9,720 in the GoFundMe Account, we have contacted donors to the account to ask what they would want.
The Poll created can be found by following this link:

After years of quiet roads in the south we think it is only fair to acknowledge all the people who came before us and have provided extensive support to roads racing . We are sure we have forgotten many and some are no longer with us but thank you to the following, Austin and the entire Dobson family, Ultan Ryan, the Fergusons, Alan and Valerie 0’Dwyer, Ted Fagan, Michael Halpin, Buddy Farrell, Connie, Thomas Bertram ,Damien Tolan, Ray Douglas, Brendan Desmond , Tony Carton plus many we have forgotten. We had hoped to see you amongst the hedges this year but it was not to be despite our best efforts. Keep ‘er lit.

RRAI STATEMENT
Following extensive discussions at the Dublin Dispute Resolution Centre on Friday 23rd May 2025, both Motorcycling Ireland and the Road Race Alliance of Ireland have come to a mutual and satisfactory agreement about the future of Road Racing based upon their commitment to working together in the interest of all motorcycling in the country.

It was affirmed that Motorcycling Ireland will continue to be the sole governing body for motorcycling sports in Ireland. The clubs comprising the Road Race Alliance of Ireland will re-affiliate to Motorcycling Ireland. Where they will have an equal representation and voice within the motorcycling racing community.
In the spirit of goodwill and cooperation the Parties have agreed to work together to re-establish a full motorcycle sports calendar in the near future.

The Road Race Alliance of Ireland will retain is identity but refocus its energy on promoting and marketing Road Racing in Ireland for its members and any road racing club who wishes to avail of their services. These services will compliment Motorcycling Irelands governance role, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to developing the sport of Motorcycling as a whole.

Each of Motorcycling Ireland and the Road Race Alliance of Ireland are grateful to Minister O’Donovan for his intervention in progressing discussions and supporting the parties. We look forward to a bright future for the sport and its participants.

Obviously from the statements today, many people are wondering and speculating on the meaning and reasoning behind the scenes here at the RRAI. For particular reasons (which will be fully explained) over the coming days we can confirm the following:
There is nothing suspicious going on at the RRAI, so despite some speculation the following is true,
All monies donated to the GoFund Me will be returned in full, as not one cent was spent by the RRAI. Likewise we will be issuing a full statement shortly to clarify a number of questions coming into us here at the RRAI re: Season Tickets and Passes. As the late Jim Bowen would say on Bullseye, "yer money is safe". What does need to be said is a huge thank you to
Mike Dalton, for his belief and commitment not just to the RRAI, but to his club and sport, to Paul McMahon, a sincere and heart felt thank you for coming in at such a late hour, putting in an amazing shift of hard work, knowledge, advice and friendship for those involved in the RRAI and the entire Motorcycle sport here in the Southern Centre, and to our motorcycle sports very own Wonder Woman, Stacey, thank you for all you did both publicly and behind the scenes, you are an amazing advocate for all Motorcycle sport and our riders, the work and passion you have displayed from day one has left such a mark on everyone and thank you..Sometimes two things can be forgotten in what happens on social media, one is that there are real people, with real feelings who matter and should always be respected, secondly, sometimes we forget to say Thank You to those you have made a difference. A full statement and explanation is coming so hang on in there.

Update 2

After careful consideration, I Michael Dalton have decided to step down from my roles as Vice President and Director of the Road Racing Alliance of Ireland (RRAI) due to other commitments that require my full attention.

This role demands a tremendous amount of time and energy, and I've come to realise that I can no longer balance both my RRAI responsibilities and other obligations effectively.

I'm happy to have been involved with a small group of individuals over the last few weeks, and I appreciate the opportunity to have contributed to the RRAI's efforts.

I'll be retiring from this higher-level position, but I'll continue to be involved with my respective road racing club, where I can focus on the sport I love.

I'm confident that this decision will allow someone else with the capacity to fulfill the duties efficiently to take over and lead the RRAI to even greater success. I wish the organization all the best for the future.

Paul has wished the RRAI the very best of luck in its future endeavors, and we appreciate his kind words.

🚨 WE CAN RACE – BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP 🚨

The truth is simple and contrary to popular belief
Road racing is NOT dead.
It's NOT uninsurable.

We’ve secured an insurance quote of €360,000 to cover up to 7 road race EVENTS.

This proves the sport can continue, if we stand together.

But we can’t do it alone.

That’s why we’ve launched this GoFundMe to raise the funds needed to make the 2025 season a reality.

💥 We CAN race.
💥 The sport IS insurable.
💥 Now we just need YOUR support to keep the throttle open.

Every donation, big or small, helps us protect our sport, our clubs, our riders, and the future of road racing in Ireland.

Let’s show them the road racing community won’t back down.

We've just seen an inspiring story about a young rider which we believe deserves a share - Kyle Martin

A talented young rider with autism, learning difficulties, and type 1 diabetes, who delivered an impressive performance at the Sunflower Trophy Motorcycle Races, securing two podium finishes!

We're genuinely heartened to see Kyle's determination and passion shine through,
We believe that every kid deserves to feel like they can achieve anything in life, and Kyle's story is a powerful reminder of that.

His achievements send a wonderful message to kids everywhere: with hard work, dedication, and passion, anything is possible! Kudos to Kyle for being an amazing role model
