Who We Are
Amalgamotion is an award winning Limerick based Theatre Company founded in March 2002. Currently Amalgamotion is made up of three artists, Ciarda Tobin, Helena Enright and Ella Daly. We each have a particular area of interest, style of presenting work, and experience of working in different areas of contemporary arts practice. Together we collaborate on a 2 of 3 basis with one artist le

ading a piece of work artistically while one of the other two provides administrative, production or dramaturgical support. This system enables us to continue making work as Amalgamotion in conjunction with pursuing our individual arts practice. What We Do
Our main aim is to experiment with form, presentation and new media, working with both classic texts and new writing. Previous work has included physical theatre, live art performance, mixed media installations and documentary theatre. Awards

Our History
Having seen innovative international theatre presented on the Limerick stage, we felt that the time had come for Limerick to respond with an indigenous form of contemporary performance theatre. We felt strongly that Limerick audiences needed a wider choice of grassroots theatre and that audiences could only benefit from exposure to new talent and approach. Having worked in theatre for many years on both a local and national basis, we felt that we could draw on the extensive contacts, not alone in theatre but also in areas ripe for theatrical collaboration such as music, composition, dance and visual art, that we had built up, to establish a theatre company of this in kind in Limerick. A big thank you to the fabulous crowd we had in for the last show of The Lighthouse Keeper last night..a big thanks to Gabby for taking a bow at curtain call. Well done to Aidan Crowe, Georgina Miller, Joanne Ryan and the legendary Monica Spencer for a great run.
