Thank you to the Enniscorthy Guardian for their coverage of the first Enniscorthy Trad Weekend which was beyond our expectations. Well done to everyone who organised and supported this event. In particular the members from Enniscorthy Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Irish Music, Song & Dance who through their support and resources enabled the successful launch of the Enniscorthy Trad Weekend. Congratulations also to the committee at Wextrad Weekend for initiating this event. To the local community in Enniscorthy who supported and made their venues and expertises available The National 1798 Rebellion Centre, The Presentation Arts Centre, Enniscorthy Castle, GAA Complex, Pub and St. Senan’s Community Centre & Maria Nolan. Roll on 2027.

The banners are packed away and it's a wrap on the inaugural Enniscorthy Trad Weekend. Huge thanks to the local groups who participated as performers and indeed volunteers Enniscorthy Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Irish Music, Song & Dance, Celtic Roots, The Blackstairs Crew, Le Céilí. Thanks to Wexford County Council for support and Pettit's Supermarket. Great support from venues, Enniscorthy Castle, The National 1798 Rebellion Centre , The Presentation Arts Centre , and especially Bellefield GAA Complex. Keep an eye and ear out for further events around the county as the year progresses and another exciting event planned for Enniscorthy later this year. County Wexford is truly 'mad-for-trad!

A nice few photos from yesterday's final event of the inaugural Enniscorthy Trad Weekend. The open session in St. Senan's Community Centre brought the curtain down on a promising weekend of Irish traditional music, song and dance.

Great news that the Cuisle Cheoil Weekend in Gorey is being revived thanks to a Culture Ireland grant.
