Steven’s Memorial 7 Day Benbo Hike Fundraiser

Steven’s Memorial 7 Day Benbo Hike Fundraiser On the 26th of April 2020 Steven Kerrigan passed away due to a heart attack. It is all to raise funds for Sligo University Hospital ICU. Many Thanks.

For the week of his first anniversary his brother Brian and family plan to climb to the summit of Benbo mountain in his memory. The past year has been very difficult for frontline staff and hospital facilities. Steven spent some time in ICU in Sligo University hospital in September 2019. The care he received was exceptional. Also the assistance and support the staff in the unit provided the family

was second to none. The ICU in Sligo helped Steven and that is why the family want to try and help them in return. Benbo Mountain lies between Glencar, Newtownmanor & Manorhamilton in North Leitrim. Benbo means the hill of the cow's horns. It is 470m to the Summit and a round trip of roughly 5km. Brian plans to do the hike every day for 7 days in Steven’s memory from the 24th of April to the 1st of May. Any Donation would be greatly appreciated. Please use the GoFundMe link to donate. For anyone looking to donate who does not have access to the internet you can drop donations into Gilmartin Insurances in Manorhamilton or to any family member. Any Donation at all will be greatly appreciated.
