Castleblayney First Responders 10th year of service!

A wonderful tribute earlier today to commemorate the constant, everyday hard work of all those involved in volunteer groups to provide essential community first responders to our area! With members of the Castleblayney CFR, Monaghan Cardiac First Responders Group, Anyalla/Cremartin CFR, along with an appearance from the wonderful Monaghan Rose, Cllr. Aidan Campbell and Paul Gibbons - Castleblayney Sinn Fein.
Retired or in service, I would like to extend my thanks to every volunteer and first responder for their sacrifice and hard work in the local area.

Fire at the White Island.

On a cycle down at the Black Island today, I saw smoke on the White Island. Out of curiosity, I went over, to find there was a sizable wildfire spreading near one of the larger trees of the White Island.
I did what I could to stop the spread before the Fire brigade arrived, however the damage is still done. The source of the fire is believed to be caused by a campfire/barbeque hosted by campers in a campsite that was swiftly vacated conveniently before I even saw the fire.
If you yourself are having a fire, or going camping any time soon, please be mindful of your fire. Surround campfires with sand, ash and or rocks to contain the fire and fully smother the fire before leaving your campsite to prevent something like this.

"Stand down 'Mehole"
Just earlier today, I took part and photographed the still ongoing fuel protests in Castleblayney. Although the pouring rain had a serious impact on the quality of many of my photographs, I still managed to document the scene pretty well.
With dripping hair and sopping boots I say; Keep doing the good work, for we stand not only for our country, but for our future.

Abandonment Pt. 1

Photoshoot for a friend

My friend came to me asking about a collaberation for her art project. I agreed to do an evening long photoshoot with her, posing in a variety of environments, ranging from extreme darks and ideal lights. This photoshoot challenged my knowledge of my camera and expanded my ability to compensate for various circumstances.
I'm excited to see my progress in the future regarding photoshoots, as I had a ball taking these shots!
