𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗚𝗼𝗺𝗶 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘀 ✨🌱
𝗯𝘆 𝗢𝗹𝗴𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗼 – 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 & 𝟯𝗗 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲r

We're excited to share how this year’s 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗚𝗼𝗺𝗶 trophies were created!

🏗️ 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿
Each trophy began as a digital sculpture, modelled in 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿. This allowed Olga to craft the shapes with precision and creativity before bringing them into the physical world.

🖨️ 𝟯𝗗 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗟𝗔
The trophies were printed using 𝗣𝗟𝗔 (𝗽𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗹𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱) filament — a material that’s often misunderstood.
➡️ 𝗣𝗟𝗔 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗹-𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰.
It’s a bioplastic made from 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 like cornstarch or sugarcane.

By choosing PLA, we reduced reliance on petrochemical plastics and keeping the footprint of the trophies low and giving everyone a unique reminder of the first Irish SpoGomi Event. We even have one in Japan, keeping company with the other Nippon Spogomi awards!

There’s nothing like a bit of good clean fun and so it was in Cahersiveen on Sunday as the town hosted Ireland’s first officially recognised SpoGomi competition.

🌍🏆 𝗖𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 – 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱’𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗚𝗼𝗺𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱!

What an incredible day! Cahersiveen proudly became the first town in Ireland to host an officially recognised SpoGomi competition — and the response from our community was nothing short of amazing.

With determination, teamwork and plenty of local spirit, 𝟮𝟯 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 hit the streets and collected an impressive 𝟭𝟴𝟵𝗸𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝟭𝟭𝟲 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿. A true celebration of environmental action, community pride and fun — all rolled into one unforgettable event 💚♻️
