***Inaugural Imbolc Bantry 2026 Launches with Focus on Wellness and Holistic Living****
Bantry, West Cork β€” Friday 30 January to Monday 2 February 2026
Imbolc Bantry: Renewal & Wellness Festival will take place for the first time from Friday 30 January to Monday 2 February 2026, introducing a new festival in West Cork dedicated to wellness, renewal, and holistic approaches to living.
Inspired by the ancient Celtic festival of Imbolc, traditionally associated with light, renewal, and new beginnings, Imbolc Bantry marks the seasonal transition from winter into spring through a thoughtfully curated programme of wellbeing-focused events. The festival invites participants to slow down, reconnect, and engage with practices that support balance, creativity, and mindful living.
Across the four days, the programme will include workshops, talks, walks, creative sessions, music and small group gatherings. Themes explored will include seasonal awareness, mindfulness, creativity as nourishment, relationship with place, and sustainable, conscious ways of being. Events will take place in a range of intimate and welcoming venues across Bantry and the surrounding area.
As a practitioner-led festival, Imbolc Bantry places emphasis on individual expertise and lived practice. Local holistic practitioners, facilitators, artists, and therapists will each host their own events and sessions. All events can be booked directly with the individual practitioners involved, allowing participants to select experiences that align with their interests and personal wellbeing.
A festival spokesperson said, β€œThis first year of Imbolc Bantry is about planting seeds β€” creating a space where people can explore wellbeing in a grounded, seasonal, and community-centred way. Imbolc offers a natural pause in the year to reflect, restore, and gently set intentions for the months ahead.”
Imbolc Bantry 2026 aims to appeal to both local residents and visitors seeking a calm, nourishing cultural experience in West Cork during the quieter winter season, while also supporting practitioners working in wellness, creativity, and holistic health.
