UKM Bahasa Asing SAFEL UNY Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa di UNY yang bergerak dalam bidang penguasaan bahasa dan kebudayaan asing Departemen yang ada di SAFEL, antara lain:

Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Bahasa Asing (UKM Bahasa Asing) adalah salah satu UKM di lingkungan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) yang memiliki fokus pada kegiatan dalam bidang kebahasaan, khususnya bahasa asing. Berawal dari dari keinginan stake holder UNY untuk meningkatkan kualitas mahasiswa dengan kemampuan bahasa asing, maka terbentuklah sebuah unit kegiatan mahasiswa yang diberi nama UKM Bahas

UKM ini diresmikan pada tanggal 12 Agustus 2004 dengan slogan โ€œGenggam Dunia Dengan Bahasaโ€ (Rule The World Through Languages). Ada 3 bahasa yang menjadi nafas kehidupan UKM bahasa Asing yakni Bahasa Inggris (Englsih), Bahasa Jerman (Deutch), dan Bahasa Perancis (French). Selang beberapa waktu, pengurus UKM ini menetapkan nama UKM Bahasa Asing dalam versi bahasa inggris-nya, yakni: .Student Activity of Foreign Languages atau yang lebih dikenal dngan nama SAFEL.. Pada Musyang SAFEL ke IV nama Student Activity of Foreign Languages diubah kembali menjadi Student Activity Forum of Foreign Languages dan tetap dikenal dengan nama SAFEL. Hal ini lebih menunjukan komitmen SAFEL sebagai forum untuk belajar bahasa asing bagi mahasiswa UNY. Dalam periode kepengurusannya yang ke-2, Bahasa Jepang (Japanese) hadir dan turut menyejukkan atmosfer kebahasaan dalam ruang kehidupan SAFEL. Di tahun 2011, Bahasa Korea bergabung dalam kehidupan SAFEL mengikuti perkembangan yang terjadi. Sehingga sampai saat ini terdapat lima bahasa asing di SAFEL yaitu : Bahasa Inggris, Jerman, Perancis, Jepang dan Korea. Untuk memperlancar setiap kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan, SAFEL memiliki lima departemen dan beberapa sub departement. FOLT (Foreign Languages Training)
yaitu departemen yang memegang peranan penting dalam pelatihan 4 bahasa asing (Inggris, Jerman, Perancis, Jepang dan Korea) serta pelatihan TOEFL.
2. Public Speaking ( PS )
ialah departemen pelaksana kegiatan public speaking seperti MC, debat, pidato dan speaking club.
3. CCU-LM (Cross Cultural Understanding-Learning Media)
adalah departemen yang menjalankan peran dalam bidang budaya dan kebahasaan seperti movie discussion, pembuatan mading dan buletin, library, workshop kepenulisan, dan sarasehan budaya.
4. HRD (Human Resources Department)
merupakan departemen yang menangani keberadaan dan kualitas sumber daya manusia, seperti penerimaan anggota baru dan pelatihan bahasa untuk pengurus UKM.
5. PR (Public Relation)
sebuah departemen yang menangani hubungan antar departemen dalam SAFEL serta hubungan dengan UKM/organisasi lain di dalam maupun luar UNY dengan kegiatan anjangsana dan studi banding.

The Youth Pledge (Sumpah Pemuda) is a significant historical event in Indonesia. It happened on October 28, 1928, in Jakarta, Indonesia, during the Second Youth Congress. During this congress, young Indonesian nationalists declared to fight colonialism and encourage Indonesia's independence as one nation, one language, and one people ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿง‘๐ŸŒŽ

The pledge, which was read out loud during the congress, had three parts:
1. The first part: "We, the sons and daughters of Indonesia, acknowledge one motherland, Indonesia."
2. The second part: "We, the sons and daughters of Indonesia, acknowledge one nation, the nation of Indonesia."
3. The third part: "We, the sons and daughters of Indonesia, respect the language of unity, Bahasa Indonesia."

Mawlid, also known as Eid-e-Milad an-Nabi, is the Islamic observation of the day when the Islamic Prophet Muhammad SAW was born. It is commemorated in Rabi' al-Awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar ๐Ÿ˜‡ It is considered an important day for Muslims and a reminder of the kindness, compassion, and teachings of the Holy Prophet.
