Lakwatserang Abugada This blog is a personal blog for me to share my stories and my adventures. Just good vibes in here. I hope I get to publish my travel website soon.

I have always wanted to write, and this is my way of de-stressing and de-cluttering my mind.

Travel humbles you… Marami ka pa palang hindi alam. Hindi pala sayo umiikot ang mundo, hindi ka pala laging magaling… and that there is always room for improvement, for learning, for experience.

Time is too limited, and the world too big and wide to spend in one place. Go explore… bloom quietly, walk endlessly, learn enthusiastically, and love unconditionally.

May we all have a blessed Saturday!

Memories of Bali ❤️

They say that if you want to test your relationship, travel with your partner… you will both get lost, he WILL try your patience, 😂 and you WILL grate on his every last nerve😂 you will fight on itineraries, wake up times, baggage allowance, outfits, and all sorts of mundane things….

But it will also widen your horizons, you will both have new and fun experiences… you will laugh at how stupid you will look trying to talk in a foreign language, you will be able to learn superhero patience for each other, you will realize that sometimes, you will miss that last train and walk for miles… that sometimes in life, you need to adjust and adapt, because not everything will go your way all the time.

So if you haven’t yet, it’s time take your partner, your girlfriend or your wife for that trip! Life is short. Tomorrow is not promised.

Lakwatserang Abugada is also a Lakwatserang Momma.

My husband once asked me if I would like to have my stretch marks removed... "Gusto mo patanggal?"

I refused. These are my battle scars. I am not ashamed to show off my stretch marks cause they are living proof of what I survived - pregnancy, childbirth, the newborn stage. A journey that took a small part of my soul and a huge toll on my body.

It took a while for my body to recover. Until now, I still have remnants of that time (o baka dahil trentahin na tayo 😅) - the aching back, the white hair, the ocassional pains in my CS stitch.

Enjoying the journey... soaking life in. No one gets out alive anyway.. 😆😅

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

POV: on vacation, but on-call.

Having your own law office meant you have free rein over your time... but you are also on call, all the time... it's not always rainbows and butterflies, its weathering storm after storm after hurricanes and whirlpools of problems.

I am a troubleshooter at heart, so I love complex puzzles and solving problems... and arguing 😅 which makes me perfect for litigation and lawyer work.

I am celebrating 10 years of being a lawyer this year.. and I am eternally grateful to the Lord for giving me a profession that I love.

Our first field trip for this year! EGM committed to bring Cairo out at least once a month.

With our crazy schedules and loaded work (thank you, Lord), we (meaning, me) really have to book and schedule experiences. (EGM drives tho 😅)

It's not about having time (we will always be busy, and God willing, we will always have tons of work), its about making time.

These early years are very important to their development, so part of our self-imposed home schooling are these fun and exciting field trips! 🥰

TUMMY TIME!!!

There are very limited things you can do with a baby... but one of which is TUMMY TIME! It is laying your baby on their stomach while they are awake and while you are present.

The tummy time varies depending on the age. When Cairo was a few days old, we only try this for like 10 seconds a day, then we gradually increased it.

This will help your baby develop stronger head, neck and shoulder muscles and the ability to lift their head up by themselves.

One sure way of ensuring the baby enjoys the tummy time to is to place toys in front of them... or your can position them in front of you, and you can make silly faces, which would make them laugh.

When Cairo was 4 months old, he learned how to turn over, and reach for his toys. This method will encourage babies to use their hands in reaching and holding things, and will also lay the foundation for crawling and walking.

CAVEAT: Cairo resisted this at first, iyak sya during his first few tummy times, that is why you should always be present so you can control how long the tummy time is going to be.
