The Digital Economy Summit 2024 has entered its second day of the agenda. Mr Simon Chan Sai-ming, BBS, JP, the Chairman of Cyberport and the Hon Michael Wong Wai-lun, GBS, JP, Deputy Financial Secretary of the Government of HKSAR, delivered the opening and welcome speeches for the Smart Finance Forum, kicking off the event.

A gathering of data finance experts and policymakers, including representatives from the , ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย - Bank of Thailand, , KPMG China, 香港金融管理局 Hong Kong Monetary Authority, (Hong Kong), and 恒生銀行Hang Seng Bank, have convened to explore how the effective integration of innovative technologies can promote the financial market's flexibility and resilience. They've also delved into the crucial role of digital finance in the development of smart cities, as well as how digital transformation can further societal advancement and the goals of sustainable development.
