The three thematic forums on AI & Web3, Living and Inclusion, and Elite Innovators brought together numerous industry professionals and leaders to explore key topics such as AI, Web3, community inclusion, and digital transformation. The Digital Economy Summit 2024 has entered its second day of the agenda. Mr Simon Chan Sai-ming, BBS, JP, the Chairman of Cyberport and the Hon Michael Wong Wai-lun, GBS, JP, Deputy Financial Secretary of the Government of HKSAR, delivered the opening and welcome speeches for the Smart Finance Forum, kicking off the event.

A gathering of data finance experts and policymakers, including representatives from the , ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย - Bank of Thailand, , KPMG China, 香港金融管理局 Hong Kong Monetary Authority, (Hong Kong), and 恒生銀行Hang Seng Bank, have convened to explore how the effective integration of innovative technologies can promote the financial market's flexibility and resilience. They've also delved into the crucial role of digital finance in the development of smart cities, as well as how digital transformation can further societal advancement and the goals of sustainable development.

Three thematic forums were held this afternoon – 'Smart Economy and Business Innovation Forum’, ‘Smart Industrialisation and Supply Chain Forum' and 'Energy, Environment, and Mobility Forum'. These forums delved into how breakthroughs in new technologies could enhance the efficiency and sustainability of various industries, and the discussions were incredibly enriching! Heavyweight speakers from companies such as , NVIDIA, , RealWear, SolidCAM, and also actively engaged in exchanges with guests and attendees, creating a very enthusiastic atmosphere.

This year features an interactive experience zone, showcasing over 15 smart city solutions. These covered categories from , and wellness, , , to , allowing attendees to experience firsthand how technology can transform our lives and propel the development of smart cities.

2024數字經濟峰會今早在香港特別行政區政府創新科技及工業局局長孫東教授，JP，香港特別行政區政府財政司司長陳茂波先生,大紫荊勳賢, GBS、MH、JP及國家互聯網信息辦公室副主任王崧先生的帶領下，與一眾嘉賓進行開幕儀式。隨即展開首場重頭炮的專題論壇 – 「透視遠景論壇」。合肥市委官員、華為、Cisco 、阿里巴巴集團、AirAsia MOVE、京東物流、Smart Cities Council、Masdar City及Visa的代表都齊集峰會，就顛覆性技術如何加快城市轉型至數碼優先、協作和數據驅動型經濟，以及以人為本的創新生態系統，進行交流，分享各地城市的現況和未來發展的遠見。
今日下午，將同時進行三個專題論壇 – 「能源、環境與出行」、「智慧經濟與商業創新」和「智能工業化與供應鏈」，讓與會者從不同層面去探討創新科技、智慧未來如何提升各行業的發展。

The Digital Economy Summit 2024 commenced this morning with an opening ceremony led by Prof the Hon D**g Sun, JP, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the government of HKSAR; The Hon Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary, the government of HKSAR and Mr Song Wang, Vice Minister, Cyberspace Administration of China, accompanied by distinguished guests. Following the opening ceremony, the summit launched its flagship forum, the "Visionary Forum." Representatives from the Hefei Municipal People’s Government, Huawei Mobile, , 阿里巴巴集團, , , , Masdar City , and Visa gathered at the summit to exchange insights on how disruptive technologies can accelerate urban transformation towards a digital-first, collaborative, and data-driven economy. They also discussed the importance of people-centric innovation ecosystems, sharing the current state and future development visions of cities worldwide.

In the afternoon, three parallel forums will take place, focusing on "Energy, Environment, and Mobility," "Smart Economy and Business Innovation," and “Smart Industrialisation and Supply Chain." These forums will enable participants to explore how innovative technologies and smart solutions can enhance the development of various industries from different perspectives.
