It wasnt easy at all to choose my favorites from the Collection because the exhibition simply contains sooo many great works. Surprisingly, I was especially fascinated by photographs and video work. My absolute highlight was still the (very instagramable) sculpture by Michael Elmgreen & Ingar Dragset
Title: „Powerless Structures, Fig. 11“😍 My second highlight was the video work „three screen ray“ by Bruce Conner. 💙The photos of Carherine Opie and Elina Brotherus are intimate, vulnerable and yet so strong. 💪Just like the works of Nan Goldin, one of my favorite artists. Her video sequences of photos are touching and sometimes disturbing, still never being too explicit. 🥀My last slide shows a sculpture of Alexander Calder in the snow, what a beautiful creature ☺️

I am very grateful to have met Hannah Doepke in her workshop “Active Listening” ( ) at .space. She thought us a lot about the theory of good listening, the give-and-take of conversation, and what all of this has to do with consent. The workshop was intense and enriching on so many levels. I was also deeply impressed by how beautifully Hannah translates listening into her artistic practice: sometimes she is the one listening, sometimes we are the ones invited to listen to her worries and thoughts. Several wonderful works emerged from this, such as “Empathy.” Head to her website hannahdoepke.com to see more of her beautiful work.
