πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· πŸ¦‰ We are really excited to announce that Luke Gosha is joining us at Athens SEO 2026.

Luke Gosha is an experienced SEO strategist and leader with over a decade of experience, having led search teams both in-house and across several agencies. He has delivered award-winning search strategies for brands across ecommerce, B2B, financial services, and news and editorial, and has built a reputation for bringing serious strategic thinking to some of the most complex challenges in search. As Head of Search and AI Strategy at .marketing, Luke sits right at the intersection of where SEO and AI are colliding, and it shows in the talk he is bringing to Athens.

His session is one of the most technically ambitious on the agenda, and honestly one of the ones we are most looking forward to. Luke will be deconstructing the science of content appraisal, showing how to bring real rigour to workflows that most teams still run on gut feeling. The session will cover how to vectorise content and queries through cosine scoring, how to scale fan-outs and measure for relevance, and how selecting the right chunking strategies can meaningfully improve content relevancy. Luke will also demonstrate a live tool covering redirect mapping, topical auditing, link opportunities, fan-out analysis, and cosine scoring in practice.

If you have been hearing about vectors and wondering what they actually mean for the day-to-day work of an SEO, this is the session that will make it click.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· πŸ¦‰ We are so excited to announce that Serge Bezborodov is joining us as a speaker at Athens SEO 2026.

This one comes with an extra layer of meaning for us. JetOctopus is the Premier Sponsor of Athens SEO 2026, and having Serge Bezborodov on stage is a reflection of just how much this partnership means. A huge thank you again to the entire JetOctopus.com team and Julia Nesterets for their incredible support of the conference.

As CTO of JetOctopus, Serge has spent over a decade deep in the data that most SEOs only get to see glimpses of, billions of crawled pages, and close to half a trillion log lines analysed across some of the largest websites on the web. He is a regular speaker at conferences, including BrightonSEO, and a contributor to Search Engine Journal, bringing a genuinely data-driven perspective to some of the most complex questions in technical SEO. When Serge talks about how search engines and AI systems interact with websites, he is drawing on a dataset that very few people in the world have access to.

His session at Athens SEO 2026 is one we are particularly excited about. As AI systems search for products, they fan out across dozens of sub-queries covering specs, pricing, reviews, and alternatives, queries that do not exist in any keyword tool and that the old e-commerce SEO playbook built around category pages was never designed to answer. Serge will dig into what this shift means for e-commerce at serious scale, when you are dealing with millions of SKUs rather than hundreds of blog posts, and share practical steps that teams can start applying straight away. It is exactly the kind of session that earns its place on the Athens SEO agenda.

This is not a session to miss. If you are working in e-commerce SEO or thinking about how AI is reshaping product discovery, you need to be in that room.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· πŸ¦‰ We are thrilled to welcome ColdChain and founder Aaron J. Barefoot as a partner of Athens SEO 2026.

ColdChain is an AI-first SEO agency working exclusively with Web3 and crypto projects, helping them scale organic visibility across search engines, LLMs, and emerging discovery platforms. Aaron brings over a decade of SEO and search experience across finance, fintech, and blockchain, with a sharp focus on the intersection of SEO, AEO, and GEO. The work ColdChain does sits right at the frontier of where search is heading, and that is exactly the kind of thinking Athens SEO was built to bring into the room.

What makes ColdChain genuinely interesting is the way Aaron thinks about search visibility. Rather than treating SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation, and Generative Engine Optimisation as separate disciplines, ColdChain builds them into a single unified strategy, ensuring that brands are not just ranking on Google but being consistently surfaced, cited, and trusted across AI assistants and emerging discovery channels. In a space where most crypto projects still struggle with fragmented content, inconsistent positioning, and no real content system to speak of, that kind of structured thinking makes a significant difference.

And speaking of that thinking, we are also delighted to share that Aaron has contributed one of the first articles to the Athens SEO Knowledge Hub, our newly launched digital initiative exclusively for partners. The piece tackles Crypto and Web3 SEO, AEO and GEO in 2026, cutting through the noise to focus on what actually matters at the level of content, structure, and systems. It is a sharp, practical read for anyone working in this space.

11/04/2026

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· πŸ¦‰ We are really excited to announce that Fili Wiese is joining us at Athens SEO 2026.

If you work in technical SEO, you know who Fili is. A former Google engineer and senior technical lead in the Google Search Quality team, Fili has spent years on the inside of the machine that the rest of us spend our careers trying to understand. That kind of experience is extraordinarily rare, and it is exactly what makes Fili one of the most credible and sought-after voices in the industry today.

As a technical SEO consultant at Search Brothers, Fili now brings that insider knowledge to the real world, helping websites with in-depth SEO audits, training, and penalty recovery. When Fili talks about how Google evaluates quality, it is not theory. It is first-hand knowledge built over years of working at the very heart of Google Search.

Fili's session at Athens SEO 2026 could not be more timely. With search engines rapidly evolving to handle the explosion of AI-generated content, the question of how technical SEO signals intersect with quality evaluation has never been more urgent. Fili will dig into exactly that, exploring how search engines are learning to detect and filter low-value AI content and what it means for the way we think about technical SEO today.

This is the kind of session you come to a conference for.

πŸ¦‰ We are absolutely delighted to welcome withFrontier as the official Career and Recruitment Partner of Athens SEO 2026.

James Congdon has been one of the most genuine supporters of this initiative from day one, and that kind of early belief means a great deal to us. When you are building something from the ground up, the people who back you before it is the obvious thing to do are the ones you never forget. James is one of those people, and we could not be more pleased to have withFrontier as part of the Athens SEO family.

After 12.5 years as a hands-on SEO and performance marketer, working both agency and brand side, James Congdon built a clear and very honest view of where recruitment in the search industry consistently falls short. Strong marketers were being overlooked while others who interviewed well but could not deliver real results kept getting hired. withFrontier was built to fix exactly that.

Today, James partners with independent SEO and performance agencies, as well as high-growth eCommerce and SaaS brands across the UK, US, Australia and Dubai, headhunting top talent through a deep network built over more than a decade in the industry. What makes withFrontier genuinely different is that James has sat in the roles he recruits for. He knows what good actually looks like, and his focus is always on finding the people who take ownership, push performance and move the needle, not just the people who interview well.

As Career and Recruitment Partner of Athens SEO 2026, Withfrontier will be part of a community that is shaping where search is heading. It is a partnership that makes complete sense, and we are very glad to have James in the room.

James, thank you for believing in this from the start. Cannot wait to see you in Athens.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡·πŸ¦‰ We are absolutely thrilled to announce that SEO Brein is an official Community Partner of Athens SEO 2026, and this is a partnership we are incredibly proud of.

SEO Brein is the largest SEO community in the Benelux founded by the brilliant Jeroen Stikkelorum with one clear mission, to build the most valuable Dutch-speaking SEO community in the Netherlands and Belgium. What Jeroen has built is something truly special, a platform where SEO professionals come together to share knowledge, run experiments, ask questions, and grow together in a genuinely collaborative and peer-driven environment. It is a community on a mission to bring together the best SEO specialists and knowledge in the Netherlands and Belgium, and it has grown into one of the most respected and active SEO communities in Europe.

SEO Brein hosts regular meetups across Europe, brings its community to major international conferences, and operates as a collective that travels together, learns together, and supports one another. The energy Jeroen has built around this community is infectious, and it is exactly the kind of spirit Athens SEO was created to stand alongside.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Jeroen for his incredible support and for bringing the SEO Brein community to Athens SEO 2026. It means a great deal to us.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡·πŸ¦‰This is a special announcement for us, and one we have been looking forward to making since we first started putting this edition together.

Aris Vrakas is returning to Athens SEO 2026, this time as moderator of our State of Search panel, and having him back feels like exactly the right way to open that conversation.

Aris was one of our founding speakers at the very first edition of Athens SEO. He backed what we were building before we had proven anything, and his support in those early days meant a great deal to us.

Beyond his connection to Athens SEO, Aris Vrakas is Founder and CEO of Rankbee AI and one of the most experienced business and technology leaders in the search industry. His career spans over 25 years of global leadership across some of the most recognisable names in tech, heading SEO at Amazon and Orbitz Worldwide, driving Growth at Skyscanner and Change.org, and now building the analytics and optimisation tools the industry needs for the Generative AI era. A second-time founder with a track record that speaks for itself, he brings a level of strategic depth and real-world perspective that is genuinely rare.

Last year his session Beyond Keywords: Redefining Search Intent in the Age of LLMs was one of the highlights of the first edition. This year he steps into the moderator seat for State of Search: The Unfiltered Edition, bringing together Lily Ray, Dan Taylor and John Campbell for what promises to be one of the most compelling and honest conversations about the state of search in an AI-driven world.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡·πŸ¦‰ We are absolutely delighted to announce that Chris Lever will be speaking at Athens SEO 2026, and if you work in technical SEO, you already know exactly why this is such exciting news.

Chris Lever is one of the most respected and genuinely knowledgeable voices in technical SEO today. Head of Technical SEO at Glass Atlas, a commerce and performance marketing agency, and co-founder of TechSEO North, he brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise and an ability to communicate complex problems with remarkable clarity. With a background in multimedia and web development dating back to the early 2000s and over a decade of professional SEO experience, Chris has worked across everything from small local businesses to large international brands and enterprise platforms β€” and what sets him apart is not the scale of the projects, but the depth of thinking he brings to every one of them.

Chris sees SEO as a systems problem, not a checklist. His approach is rooted in understanding how search engines crawl, render and evaluate websites in real conditions β€” asking what a search engine is likely to trust rather than chasing short-term tactics. It is exactly the kind of rigorous, principled thinking that the technical SEO community needs more of, and it is precisely why having him on the Athens SEO stage feels so right.

His session, Automating Technical SEO with Screaming Frog CLI and n8n, is going to be one of the most practical and immediately applicable of the entire conference. Chris will show how Screaming Frog CLI and n8n can automate areas of technical SEO that are still widely handled manually β€” unlocking efficiency that most teams simply are not taking advantage of yet. If you have ever felt that automation in technical SEO should be more accessible, this session is for you.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡·πŸ¦‰ We are delighted to announce that Search 'n Stuff is an official Community Partner of Athens SEO 2026 β€” and this is a partnership that feels very natural to us.

Founded by the brilliant Yagmur Simsek, Search 'n Stuff is more than a meetup β€” it is a genuinely global movement bringing together SEOs, PPC experts and digital marketers to share real insights without the ego. From its roots in Turkey to its expansion into the UK, Search 'n Stuff has built something rare: a community that puts people first, champions diverse voices, and creates events that people actually want to attend. No fluff, no silos β€” just real talk and real tactics from the people doing the work.

It is exactly the kind of community Athens SEO was built to stand alongside, and we are proud to have them with us.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Yagmur Simsek for her incredible support β€” and not just as a community partner, but as a speaker at Athens SEO 2026 this year. Having her on that stage means a great deal to us.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· Today is a very special day to be making this announcement because not only are we thrilled to share that Judith Judith 'deCabbit' Lewis will be speaking at Athens SEO 2026, but it also happens to be her birthday. Judith, from everyone at Athens SEO, thank you for your incredible support and happy birthday β€” we could not think of a better way to celebrate than with this. πŸŽ‚πŸ¦‰

Judith is one of the most respected and experienced figures in the digital marketing industry, with over 25 years of expertise that spans SEO, digital strategy, training, writing and international speaking. She is the founder of Decabbit Consultancy, where she delivers actionable business insight for B2B, B2C and M2B companies globally, and is a renowned MC and conference host whose presence on any stage immediately raises the calibre of the room.

Judith judges the Search Awards across the world, bringing her deep expertise across multiple markets to recognise the best work in the industry. And if her professional credentials weren't impressive enough, she is also a seated member of the WBA think tank in Switzerland working on the digitisation of the wine sector using AI, a board member of the Academy of Chocolate, a grand jury member of the Academy of Chocolate Awards, and holds her WSET3 certification in wine. Quite simply, there is no one quite like Judith Lewis.

Her session, Retrievable Beats Rankable: Build for Retrieval-Based AI, is one of the most timely and practically useful sessions we have on the agenda. AI answers depend on retrieval, and if systems cannot reliably extract your facts, definitions, comparisons and proof, you will not appear, even if your pages are technically good. Judith will show attendees exactly how to make content retrievable, covering clean entity statements, chunking, intent-aligned headings, answer blocks, evidence patterns and freshness signals. She will also walk through a lightweight evaluation method using prompt sets and change control, so teams can iterate with discipline rather than guesswork. Attendees will leave with a retrieval-readiness checklist, page patterns that increase reuse in AI answers, and a repeatable test-and-learn loop they can implement straight away.

Judith, thank you for everything β€” your support for Athens SEO means the world to us, and we are so honoured to have you on that stage. Happy birthday, and see you in Athens. πŸŽ‚ πŸ₯³ 🎈
