On Friday the Africell league Semi-Final promises intense action as the two oldest teams in SK West, Kanifing Utd and Jerintong prepare to clash in a highly anticipated showdown. The historical significance of these teams adds an extra layer of excitement to the matchup.

The football frenzy continues on Saturday with the knockout cup replay between Jeshwang City and Empty Land. This time a decisive winner will be determined adding an extra layer of suspense to the rematch. After their initial draw both teams are hungry for victory setting the stage for another thrilling encounter at the SK West Park.

Football enthusiasts can brace themselves for a weekend filled with passion, competition, and the excitement of seeing which teams will secure their places in the league final and progress in the knockout cup.

In an eagerly awaited showdown during the Serekunda West Sports Organisation Nawettan 2023 knockout Cup. Both Jeshwang City and Empty Land played to a gripping stalemate captivating fans with relentless end-to-end actions.

The match kicked off with meticulous preparations from both teams evident during our media team's visit to their training grounds. The vibrant and energetic atmosphere showcased the teams' moral, promising spectators an intense match. Coaches and players on both sides demonstrated their readiness to outshine their opponents.

With SK West park at full capacity Jeshwang City fans notably spirited added an extra dimension to their strong fan base, further heightened by the presence of high-profile dignitaries.

The initial moments of the match saw positive play from both sides but Empty Land gained the upper hand penetrating Jeshwang City's defense and earning a penalty in the 18th minute due to a defensive lapse.

Yankuba Sanneh's penalty miss for Empty Land expertly parried by the Jeshwang City goalkeeper led to a series of close calls including a rattling shot against the crossbar by an Empty Land player.

Mustapha Drammeh's impressive volley for Jeshwang City provided a compelling response but the second half continued to deliver end-to-end actions. Both coaches made strategic changes to reinforce their teams yet the dust failed to settle, leaving the sides inseparable after full time.

In recognition of the befitting and entertaining contest the committee in adherence to the rules and regulations deemed a replay necessary, promising fans another replay.
