An award-winning therapist, author and emotional wellbeing expert, Sally Baker has spent over two decades helping people understand and overcome the hidden patterns that hold them back. In her latest book, The Getting of Resilience from the Inside Out, she combines professional expertise and personal experience to explore how resilience can be developed, nurtured and strengthened, even in the face of life’s greatest challenges.

💛 Many of you may remember that Sally was due to join us at last year’s festival but was unfortunately unable to attend. We’re delighted that she will finally be joining us this November at the Gibraltar Gibunco Literary Festival.

✨ Join us for an inspiring conversation on resilience, mental wellbeing and the practical tools we can use to navigate uncertainty, adversity and change. Drawing on real-life experiences and therapeutic insights, Sally’s session promises to leave audiences feeling empowered and equipped for whatever life throws their way.

A respected author, researcher and Vice Chairman of the British–Morocco Society, Dr Ali Bahaijoub brings decades of expertise to one of the world's most enduring geopolitical disputes. In his book Western Sahara Conflict, he explores the history, complexities and international dimensions of the conflict, offering readers a deeper understanding of a region often overlooked in global conversations.

A consultant psychiatrist at Guy’s and the Maudsley Hospitals in London, Dr Santhouse has spent decades exploring the fascinating intersection between physical and mental health. Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministries of Culture and Tourism, is delighted to welcome back Seabourn as a partner of the Gibunco Gibraltar Literary Festival 2026.

In collaboration with Gibraltar London House, Seabourn will host an exclusive afternoon tea experience with Grant Harrold, author of The Royal Butler, featuring fascinating royal stories, tradition, etiquette, and conversation.

Following the success of last year’s partnership, Seabourn will also host sales desks at the Gibraltar Garrison Library and other festival venues alongside MH Bland.

Gibraltar Cultural Services (GCS), on behalf of the Ministries of Culture and Tourism, is delighted to confirm that the Gibunco Group is once again the title sponsor for this year’s Gibraltar Literary Festival 2026.

Since the festival’s inception Gibunco’s altruistic support has gone a long way to ensure that this tourism led event continues to be a staple in Gibraltar’s cultural calendar.

Furthermore, GCS is also delighted to confirm the John Mackintosh Educational Trust as a principal partner for this year’s festival. The Trust is supporting the children and schools’ programme and various other initiatives throughout the festival week.

Minister for Culture and Tourism, The Hon. Christan Santos GMD MP said:

‘I wish to express my sincere thanks to Gibunco for maintaining their unwavering belief in the Literary Festival and continuing to be our title sponsor. My thanks too to the John Mackintosh Educational Trust for supporting the programme aimed at our younger audiences. The festival aims is to reach people of all ages, backgrounds and interests, and our supporters’ generosity, along with the hard work of the organising team, allow it to meet its objective.’
