Today, we celebrate a monumental milestone and pay tribute to the transformative leadership of our revered Dormaahene. His altruistic commitment to the advancement of Dormaa and Bono at large is a beacon of inspiration. Through his trailblazing vision, he has spearheaded a multitude of initiatives that have yielded a profoundly positive impact on the lives of his people
We salute his unrelenting championing of societal advancement, exemplified by his unshakeable stance against Galamsey and LGBTQ, and his relentless pursuit of reforms in our Constitution and laws. This tireless advocacy seeks to protect and promote the welfare of Ghanaians worldwide, including those in the Diaspora. Moreover, his passionate defense of initiatives like Free SHS demonstrates his deep-seated commitment to empowering future generations through education.
The Dormaahene's contributions to the socio-political discourse in Ghana are invaluable. As a respected traditional leader, he has brought his wealth of experience and wisdom to bear on national issues, providing guidance and direction for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
The Dormaahene's local impact is undeniable and evident, with numerous development projects initiated and supported under his leadership. A notable example is the establishment of Aduana FC, a two-time Ghana Premier League winner, showcasing his dedication to youth development in sports.
His philanthropic efforts are evident in the creation of the Dormaa Education Fund, provision of sanitation equipment, and consistent support for educational institutions and healthcare facilities within Dormaa state and beyond. His advocacy for the upgrade of Sunyani Hospital to a Teaching Hospital, in coupled with the founding of the University of Energy and Natural Resource (UENR) Medical School, demonstrates his foresight to improving healthcare in the region.
Ɔsagyefo is a great defender of the Bonokyempem Trust. He counteracts distorted histories against Bono States, and has ensured that the rich cultural heritage of our people is preserved for generations to come. His unrelenting support for all Bono Traditional Festivals, including Mɛkɔ Bono since its inception, has fostered a sense of unity and shared identity among the Bono people. Through his tireless efforts, he has brought all Bono together in unity and strength, promoting a sense of belonging and pride in our collective heritage.
