Understanding the difference between push bars, push pads, panic hardware, and outside access devices ensures that buildings are not only secure, but are safe and legally compliant.

✔️ EN 1125 – push bar escape panic hardware
Panic escape hardware must cover a minimum of 60% of the door width

✔️ EN 179 – push pad emergency exit hardware
Push pad operated emergency exit devices can only be used where operators are familiar with how to fit it
