Africa Energy Technology Centre and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ghana explore strategic partnership in energy technology and vocational innovation

Driving sustainable industrial growth requires proactive diplomacy and strong cross-border alliances. In line with this mandate, the Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) recently paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra to explore practical pathways for bilateral cooperation in energy transition, industrial technology transfer, and youth vocational training.

Led by Founder and President Ms. Emelia Akumah , the meeting established a strategic dialogue aimed at unlocking bilateral cooperation, accelerating technology transfer, and driving youth-focused capacity building across the energy value chain. The AETC delegation was received on behalf of the Ambassador by Ms. Beata Matusiková, Head of the Trade and Economic Section at the Embassy.

AETC Deepens Strategic Ties with Mozambique as Africa’s Gas Frontier Comes Roaring Back to Life

There are moments in the life of a continent when geography quietly rearranges itself around opportunity. Northern Mozambique, once known chiefly for its coastline and its coal, is fast becoming one of those moments, a place where the world’s appetite for natural gas is meeting Africa’s determination to author its own energy story. It was against this backdrop that the Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC), led by its Founder and President, Ms. Emelia Akumah, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Fortunato Albrinho, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique to Ghana - a visit that was, in the truest sense, a meeting between institutions building the future and a nation stepping decisively into it.

AETC Deepens Strategic Engagement with the Royal Norwegian Embassy

As part of its commitment to fostering strategic international partnerships that advance Africa’s energy transformation, the leadership of the Energy Technology Centre (AETC) paid a courtesy visit to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Accra to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new avenues for collaboration in energy, innovation, youth development and sustainable economic growth.

The delegation was received by His Excellency John Mikal Kvistad, Ambassador of Norway to Ghana, following the Embassy’s participation in the Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) 2026 through its representative, Ms. Silje Samanthi Vevatne, Counsellor for Business and Trade. The visit provided an opportunity to brief the Ambassador on the successful outcomes of the Conference and reaffirm AETC’s commitment to building enduring partnerships with the Government of Norway and its institutions.

Speaking during the meeting, Founder & President of the Africa Energy Technology Centre, Ms. Emelia Akumah, underscored the urgent need to bridge policy, technology and investment to accelerate Africa’s energy transition and industrial transformation. She highlighted AETC’s role as a leading continental platform that convenes governments, policymakers, development partners, academia, investors, innovators and industry leaders to promote dialogue, facilitate investment and champion technology-driven solutions for Africa’s sustainable development.

AETC AND THE EUROPEAN UNION DELEGATION IN GHANA EXPLORE A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

Progress is rarely achieved in isolation. It is built through conversations that bring together institutions with a shared vision, complementary strengths, and a commitment to creating lasting impact. Such was the spirit of the recent meeting between the Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) and the European Union in Ghana (EU) Delegation in Ghana.

Led by Founder and President Ms. Akumah, the meeting marked the beginning of what both parties hope will become a meaningful and structured partnership focused on accelerating Africa's energy transformation.

Welcoming the Africa Energy Technology Centre team, the EU Delegation expressed appreciation for the Centre's outreach and its growing influence within Africa's energy ecosystem. AETC Strengthens Strategic Collaboration with Ghana’s Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment to Advance Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship

As part of its commitment to advancing youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and sustainable development across Africa, the leadership of the Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment to strengthen institutional collaboration and explore strategic opportunities to support Ghana’s national youth development agenda. The engagement reaffirmed AETC’s commitment to working alongside government and key stakeholders to equip young people with the skills, opportunities and support systems required to become drivers of Africa’s energy transition and economic transformation.

The delegation was received by the Honourable George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, who welcomed AETC’s vision and acknowledged the important role that indigenous Pan-African institutions can play in supporting Ghana’s development priorities. The meeting provided an opportunity for AETC to share the Centre’s strategic initiatives while exploring areas of collaboration that align with the Ministry’s vision of empowering young people through innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership development and sustainable job creation.

Bridging Talent and Industry: AETC and PecanEnergies Forge Path for Africa’s Next Generation of Energy Leaders

The Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) has taken another significant step towards translating youth innovation into tangible career pathways through a courtesy visit to Pecan Energies. The engagement was convened to facilitate internship arrangements for beneficiaries of the AETC NextGen Innovation Pitch Challenge, a flagship competition held during the Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) 2026 under the Centre’s Youth Energy Entrepreneurship and Incubation Programme (YEEIP).

The AETC NextGen Innovation Pitch Challenge provides a platform for young innovators across the continent to showcase transformative solutions to pressing energy, climate and sustainable development challenges. Beyond recognising innovative ideas, the initiative is designed to create meaningful opportunities for young innovators by connecting them with leading industry partners who provide mentorship, practical experience and professional development to support their growth.

Founder and President Emelia Cedar-Palm Akumah Leads High-Level Delegation to Present Landmark Pan-African Energy Initiatives and Secure Presidential Support for Africa Energy Technology Conference.

The Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC), the continent’s premier institution for energy innovation and technology development, has presented its strategic vision for Africa’s energy future to the President of the Republic of Ghana H.E. John Dramani Mahama during a high-level courtesy call led by its Founder and President, Ms. Emelia Cedar-Palm Akumah.

The meeting, convened under the auspices of the Minister for Energy and Green Transition Dr. John Jinapor, brought together senior government officials, energy sector leaders, and members of the AETC Board of Directors with a focus of advancing Africa’s energy sovereignty, innovation capacity, and industrial transformation.
