🏆We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Weymouth Surf Life Saving Club has officially been named Surf Life Saving GB Club of the Year for 2025! 🎉🥳

😶 It's difficult to put into words how much this means for a club formed less than 8 years ago. We have moved from a small group of parents meeting sporadically on a Saturday morning, to a club with over 1️⃣3️⃣0️⃣ members who have successfully hosted the week-long National Surf Life Saving Championships for over 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ visitors!

👏🏼Thanks to our volunteers and members who have made this possible, without who, the club would be nothing.

What will the next 8 years bring? Watch this space, we've got some exciting plans afoot 👀

So another year draws to a close. But this wasn’t just another year forWeymouth Surf Life Saving Club; it was a historic milestone!
​Hosting the 2025 NATIONAL Surf Life Saving Championships right here on our home beach was the highlight of our year (and perhaps our history!). Seeing the beach come alive with athletes from across the country was truly unforgettable (in fact we're still recovering! 😴).

👏🏻To our Members & Volunteers: Thank you for giving up your spare time and annual leave to help make Weymouth SLSC shine on the national stage, as well as keeping the club running throughout the year; we're nothing without you!

🏅​To the Competitors: From nipper to masters, your spirit, sportsmanship, and dedication are what this sport is all about!

❤️‍🩹A different kind of thank you from from the mum of one of Bude's nippers who attended the nationals:

"On the Saturday a gentleman approached me saying he was a GP and I should get a mole on my back seen by a doctor. All a little weird but immensely grateful at the time. I have since been seen by the dermatology team and I do indeed need to have that mole removed."

Thanks to Surf Life Saving GB for a glowing review of the 2025 Nationals. We have to admit it was pretty epic, but we couldn't have done it without you!
